Yes, I knew that because

I have searched for medical-related terms before and got responses from where someone else had asked the same thing on here!

I knew him well before I asked him out, so I knew
a long time before our first date that he was the one for me. He didn't know it that soon, but I did.
I knew it had to be you! - sm
Sorry you are having trouble and I hope it is fixed soon! Don't work too hard!
Of course she knew that (sm)
She obviously hasn't had her own medication today.
What about it? We already knew about that..
huh?
See? You knew someone would ask... sm
I try to be concise too, but sometimes you just gotta throw it all in there.
Your reasons are totally justified and I figured they were just by the tone of your post, but for future reference we need ALL THE FACTS!! LOL
Have fun, sweetie!
I knew almost right away
I'd say it was at the very early stages of our relationship that I started to realize that i could marry him.. then I kept telling myself "what are you nutz? you barely know this guy! stop thinking that!! LOL
But now looking back, there was some kind of "special spark" that was there & that was unique from any other experience. We both remember when we first (very briefly) met. We didnt actually start talking and getting to know each other until about 5 months after that. Then when we started talking/dating, it was like we had known each other for yrs, we were just immediately comfortable with each other & had this "chemistry".
it was great, it still is great, i hope it stays great!!
Wish I knew
x
Um, I knew when I was 5.
and no one did a thing to me. Gosh, there goes your theory! Sorry 'bout that.
I knew there was something about the IBM M15

Maybe the folks at Clickykeyboards.com could give you some leads on where to get it repaired, if not the other site I posted above.
Once again, good luck!
I knew it!!!
I "frickin" knew you meant that how I took it! Yay! Another fan! Got my laugh for the night! Thanks!
If you knew then what you know now....
I've been an MT now for almost 10 years. I don't know about you but I didn't really give MT a lot of thought before I decided to get into this business. It seemed like a good way to go with my typing skills and interest in the medical field. Plus it sort of "fell into my lap" with an opportunity that was too good to pass up. So I plunged in and starting learning what I needed to get started and took it from there. Wow, what a long journey and I'm still learning new things all the time. Looking back I really don't think I would have gone into this field had I known all the blood, sweat and tears required just in order to get started, not to mention even now keeping things going day to day. I am honestly glad I did stick with it because it has worked very well for my family situation over the years. Some days I am fed up with it but it has so many other benefits that outweigh the negatives. So, I keep sticking with it and keep going day to day. How about you? If you knew then how hard it would be would you have run the other way? I know I probably would have but I am glad I didn't have a clue and kept plugging away.
Wow! I never knew that, though we have
spoken many times. I had no idea you - disallowed - offshore MTs to post here? That is really sad to me, but I'm glad I know now. Your 100% right as owner of the board, but also my choice to now not be a part of something like that. Thanks for sharing.
WOW - I never knew that
nm
thanks - I already knew that....*L*...sm
but because of what you said, I went back in to windows update and told it to let me know when they are available and not to download or install them until I say it's okay.
oh well, looky looky - Windows update is trying to install IE7 - so you're incorrect I do believe:
Size: 14.8 MB
This free upgrade to Internet Explorer for genuine Windows customers offers improvements such as: enhanced security to help protect you from malicious software and fraudulent websites; a cleaner look, including tabs for browsing multiple pages in one window; features to make everyday tasks such as printing and searching the web easier. This upgrade preserves your current home page, search settings, favorites, and compatible toolbars, and can be uninstalled if you decide to do so.
More information for this update can be found at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=71727
Thanks so much..just knew there had to be a way! nm

I knew right away because I keep
my TV on (in another room) and just happened to be getting a drink of water when the first one hit. I immediately called the hospital I work for and they told me to keep them informed. Well, I could barely tear myself away from the TV that day. Thank heavens, my hospital was very understanding. I reported every time something happened which, on that day, was about every half hour.
I also had scanners in my office and would inform the hospital MTs when the ER was diverting patients, or if there was a bad accident or fire, so they would get a heads up for STAT work coming their way. It worked out well.
I couldn't work without noise of some type. With the job I have now, I only have the TV on but not the scanners anymore. I listen to the traffic reports as my husband works 60 miles away and needs that info if traffic is tied up on his route to or from work.
I knew somebody who
went to a dermatologist for it. The dermatologist gave her injections into the scalp. I believe it was prednisone or something like that.
I remember going to school with somebody who had a patch on the side of his head that he'd had since he was very little. It didn't show as long as he didn't get his hair cut short.
Never knew that.
That set-up sounds so simple and cost-effective as well. I didn't know you used steno pads. The carbon paper would terrify me, though!
I knew it!!!!
So really, the only GOOD JOBS out there are for Newbies or Indians!!!!
Great.
I have learned something!! I never knew this was possible!
I've always thought liquids damaged/ruined keyboards, but I guess I was wrong. What a good idea you all have!!
Wow, I never knew that existed!
At least you were spared 35 or more years of that "monthly" stuff!!!
This is exactly when I knew it was time to
I found myself losing my social skills and having nothing to talk about to my husband when he got home.
Time to move on and be back in society. I'm much happier and feel like an interesting conversationalist again.
Wish I knew what company this is (sm)
Only because I'm applying to several different companies and would love to avoid the situation you describe. Sometimes criticisms can be subjective, but the thing about the faxes is a big red flag to me. Worked for a company like that very briefly once. I quit and put my fax machine in the attic. My email is here if you feel comfortable sharing that way. If not, I will definitely be sure to avoid any company that requires a fax machine (was planning on doing that anyway, though). Good luck and sorry you're having such a hard time.
wish I knew where to go to make
more $$$ than my female counterparts. I have been doing this for 20 years and would still be making the same as when I started, except I am much faster now and work fewer hours.
I knew I could count on you all...sm
to help me think this through! The dust blowing around getting in the computer does scare me a little.
I'd love to try this once, but I don't even have a laptop (LOL!), but just wondered if that would help put me a step towards being outdoors. Guess not, realistically. I guess I'll just take in another stray dog.
I had one job a few years ago where I could take a break whenever (no set hours) and go outside and pull weeds. I used to love that!
Thanks for your comments.
I knew a woman...
who had 2 back-to-back MT jobs going from one hospital to another. She usually looked half dead by the time I saw her at her 2nd job, but was getting paid hourly, so I doubt she was too productive at job #2. Somehow she managed to show up every day though.
not me personally, but I knew someone who did--sm
a long time ago. Perhaps the procedure has advanced some since then, but apparently he had to have his redone several times and he still took Prilosec or Nexium on a daily basis. He lost an awful lot of weight, too. I heard something about the esophagus being wrapped with wire, like chicken wire, to attempt to keep the hiatal hernia down. yuk. I have GERD too, and it causes alot of problems for me, particularly when trying to sleep, but I still would not consider this procedure, unless they have improved it tremendously. good luck.
I knew that was you, Jay *grin*...*S*...sm
Always up to doing GREAT things.....I sent off your wavs on WP5.1 and about this business to others in my community who got a kick out of your links too.....one lady knows you from the AAMT from years ago.
Back several years ago when I used to frequent that other MT board...the one where they started CHARGING to use it.....is where I first met/saw you and so that was a good 10 years ago. *L* - Nice to see you still up to those good things you were up to back then....always in our interests!! You are much appreciated, just in case you didn't know it.
Be well, some of us love *reading* you online!!!
One way I knew with my last pregnancy...
My breasts were VERY tender...even before I realized my period was late. I stopped at the store on my way home that very night, did the test as soon as I got home, and voila...baby #3 on the way...any symptoms of pregnancy besides being late on your period? That's a good indication of yes or no...good luck!
I knew some kids like that....sm
It turned out their mom was just really greedy and expected people to give HER stuff and she taught her kids the same thing, whether by instruction or just by example. The whole family was like that. They just had this inflated sense of entitlement, and if they didn't get what they wanted, they pitched a fit. They took the phrase "The squeaky wheel gets the oil" to a whole new level. They would lodge complaints against businesses to get free "hush" services, they'd put one of the kids in a wheelchair at the theme parks just to skip the lines.
It's a shame these are your neighbors. If the kids still want to play with each other, I WOULD let them, because they are kids and a lot of times they'd rather have someone to play with than let things like this get in the way of play. But I would be steadfast in denying them food all the time. Offer them water and if they don't like that...they're just greedy and can go home. Of course, I don't have kids, so it's easier for me to say. :-)
Me too, first I knew it had a name was the other day....see inside (sm)
Check this link out, and see if it describes you and your pain, and correlates to your mouse usage. This explains it much better than I could.
I've been looking for different mouse alternatives, found a kind of joystick thingee, a quill mouse, as well as a keyboard with a touchpad on it, in place of a mouse. Saw one similar to what cerdan posted, but when I saw the RollerMouse Pro, I knew it was what I was looking for. There are also some amazing testimonials on their site, too.
This is one thing we as MTs don't think about, something other than carpal tunnel, that affects us from repetitive use of the mouse. I wish I would have known or thought of this, as even though it's taken a while to catch up to me, when it did, I knew it had to be some sort of RSI, and if changing my workstation can help heal/fix this, I'm sure going to spend the $$ for it. Can always use it as a tax deduction, and it's more than worth it.
I hope this helps you (and others!).

Sorry, others read and knew exactly what I was saying
my post got moved down several from the post I first answered, that being people dictating reports that were incorrect. Mine was incorrect and the dictator meant it that way. Sorry you were unable to understand as others got it.
It happens to me all the time. I wish I knew what to tell you, sm
just take short breaks, set goals???
How often do you need to do this - I would have to do it several times a day. Wish I knew why it ha
Linksys tech support no help.
I knew anyone could look at it but I did not know until recently (sm)
that it would come up in search engines. I accidentally found something I posted months ago when doing a search for something else!
See, I knew you wouldn't
answer. People always want to talk about good money, but they never want to let anyone know what they consider good money. Opinions are different on thta, ya know.
Apparently it is, who knew?
Hi ya!
Haven't been on the board in a few days.
Yes, my friend in CA says that she heard Brooklyn was the new destination to go to according to "Budget Travel" and I have actually ran across tourists looking at maps in the streets of Brooklyn. New York Magazine now lists restaurants in Brooklyn along with the usual ones in Manhattan. I wish it hadn't caught up, real estate for one is out of control here.
Oh, well, knew I would owe anyway this year
from sell of a property this past year, place that belonged to a relative, so made arrangements for big $$$$$ and hopefully that will take care of all.
We already knew that part sm
We were notified that they were wanting to sell last year.
You would be so jealous if you only knew
what wealth I do have and wealth is not just money but happiness beyond belief. I told my better half just yesterday if I had 1 word to term my life it would be magical. That should tell you something, but probably will not because you want to think I am the heavy in this situation. Think like you want as least my conscious is clear as far as my life goes.
I never knew who owned it before all this went down.
nm
You know I wondered how they knew...sm
My boss (the owner of Allstate) just said how many of you are cutting and pasting from word? And most everyone said they were. She said the client is having problems and I didn't even understand what she was talking about like what kind of problems. But they traced it back to cutting and pasting from word. The client asked if the MTs were doing that and she told them yes because our Expanders and spellcheckers won't work and they said DO NOT do that anymore. So I said you know I can't do this. It was just a pain. Wasn't worth it. So I don't know how they knew but they did.
It's okay, I knew what you meant.
nm
I used to have 3 then 2 IC jobs, each knew - sm
about the other (from my resume). I did not actively advertise that I had another IC job, but they did know. I only have 1 now, plus an account of my own, dropped the third as I had to work a lot harder (no spaces) for the less money in the long run---was a higher cpl but with no spaces it was actually less than what I whas making at my current IC job, plus my current IC job was able to give me enough work to make me happy, I have a true 24-hr TAT, and I have assigned accounts/doctors whereas with the other job I was rotated about on 20+ doctors so I never did any of them enough to get too proficient.
I wish I knew...every day I hate this job more...(SM)
but my appearance prevents me from working outside the home. Would I love to though....anything...sales person....hot dog stand....real estate person.... work different jobs for Manpower Temporary Services. If you have the option to do something else...go for it...even if the pay is low...it will at least hold a challenge for you...then move on to something else.
Knew what you meant...sm
I never know whether to laugh or be highly annoyed at the way these MD's pronounce things - even very common meds sometimes. And their grammar is awful. I also have one doc who always says "pee" instead of urinate. Does she really want that in her chart? Lord!!!
I KNEW I wouldn't get 20/20 the first time around SM
and ended up 20/40; they wanted to try monovision to eliminate need for reading glasses (I'm in my 40s) but I hated it (personal preference). So went back for 20/20 in both eyes and got it. Still don't need reading glasses yet and can read tiny print but know that's only going to be so much longer. Lasik was the best thing I ever did.
yes, blushing. i should know better, huh? but you knew what i meant.
and the idea is the same regarding brad and angelina.
You GO girl! I knew you'd do the right thing!
Best of luck!
Funny how you knew who they were talking about
x
MQ knew therer were errors.
Don't act like they didn't know there was a huge problem. Well, it wasn't a
problem for them. It was a problem for us and the hospitals. But the hospitals
were screaming bloody murder about the overcharges/calculation errors at least 3 years ago.
