Yep, happens to me fairly frequently. I used to blame it on Comcast, but I don't have trouble with any other applications. It's a real drag, esp. when in the middle of a report. I have to close EVERYTHING down and re-boot. Also happens with commands as you describe. Wish I could offer something besides sympathy.
