Steelers are my second favorite team next to my Eagles. Since they suck this year, I am on the wagon for the Steelers. Love those Pennsylvania Football Teams!

Don't ya just love having to work when the Superbowl is on? OMG....
Too many of the docs dictating are obviously watching the game and NOT paying attention to their dictation....pausing way too often, repeating themselves, stopping to say, "WHooooooo"
Just go watch the stupid game and THEN do your dictation!

Well I wasn't invited over to the superbowl bash by my husband so...
I am working also. I could go over there but I need to work and plus if I was wanted there I would have been asked. That is okay though. What goes around comes around. At least that is what I think.

You are CORRECT about the interception. My husband is a football official and he was completely appalled at the officiating in this game...said it is humilating to all officials. CBS commentators seem to always cheer for any team but the Steelers, so I sure hope next week when the cheer on Denver that the Steelers come out on top again. GO BETTIS!

Yep, that was an interception! Even Dan Marino and Boomer Esiason said so on their show after the game. They also said the Steelers dominated the game..!!!! On to DENVER AND THE SUPER BOWL!!

Football is one of the best times of the year! I love the superbowl...no matter what team is in it! I am a die-hard Packer fan and have been for 25+ years! My three daughters love football as well...my oldest wants to play football next year in Junior high and is currently seeking the first girl spot on the team! Good luck Steelers fans! And Go Packers for next year!! (yes I realize they really, really sucked this year, but I still luv 'em!)

I understand where you're coming from. The respect is just not there anymore. Everyone in this business has heard for years about how voice recognition and EMRs are going to replace us all, which I just don't buy. I work for a national on a difficult account with many ESLs, and it generates lots of work. Every summer we have problems keeping up with turnaround but the management has yet to come up with a solution that actually works consistently. I suspect it's a combination of MTs having kids home from school during the day now, vacations being taken, and people not working their schedules, but most of all I think it's just plain burnout - we deserve to enjoy the summer too. Last summer I worked so much to the point that I think I did substantial damage, and my body just cannot take it anymore (been at it for about 20 years, the last 10 years of it steady). The powers that be fail to understand that we are not machines!

Or when you are trying to sleep and in your mind you are dictating to yourself..i.e., and the patient..yada, yada, yada, happens to me all the time, especially if I have had a long stressful-difficult dictation day, LOL..Of even if Im day dreaming, sometimes I find myself falling into dictation mode, repeating dictating I have transcribed, or close to it..Yeow!!
