Yeah, Daddy said Billy Bob's grandmother was his grandfather's third cousin's second wife.

Thank you. We are descended from the Hoots who lived in Killjoy, Alabama, right near June Bug. My mother was a Hoot.

This same thing happened to my cousin's wife
and she also was 34. She was a school teacher at the time and had 3 little children. They treated her in the hospital for FIVE MONTHS. She was close to death for quite awhile but after multiple surgeries managed to finally survive. I do not think that they are suing. As someone stated, this is usually stated as a complication of gallbladder surgery.
Unfortunately, this hospital has a major problem with making those mistakes because my aunt also had her pancreas punctured when she went in just for a scope and also spent months in the hospital.
As hard as it is to accept though, these things do happen.
I am with the poster who said to pray for your cousin.
Totally! I opted out of going to a cousin's wife's 2nd shower
after only 3 years! Ridiculous. The baby was even the same sex. And SHE never got rid of anything. So, I heard later that she took just about everything back to the store for refunds/exchanges! Really something, huh?
I'm wondering about your Daddy's.
I've been doing a lot of soul-searching and reading trying to sort out my personal life and how it went sooo terribly wrong. My Mom has told me all along that I have "married my father". I'd like to hear about your Fathers and how they negatively or positively affected your life, especially your love lives being that this is Valentine's Day. My Dad was and still is much more interested in himself than me or my brother. I'm just curious. Don't feel obligated. Thanks for sharing.
Honey, that's your DADDY, and you mourn in whatever way is YOURS.
There is no real way to do it, no way around it. You could try to do some reading about the stages of grief, just so you have some knowledge of the path you are on.
A friend of mine told me that something I'd written to her after her son passed away, really meant a lot to her. I had written in her card that she will never stop being the mom to this child, even when they get to heaven together, God will probably greet her, Oh! Hey, you must be Steve's Mom, Hi there! The relationship is forever. Just because your dad is on the other side, doesn't mean he stopped being your dad. I hope this idea of mine isn't violating any sense of your own belief system, I hope it can be uplifting to you. The relationship is forever.
Do you talk to your dad out loud sometimes, or even just in your head? Can you imagine what he might be saying to you? You knew him so well, you would probably know what he would tell you if you were suffering like this, and he were sitting by your side, or on the phone with you.
My local paper just ran a piece about a poet locally, whose wife died a year ago. His skill was in the poetry, and he got through every day by writing to his deceased wife, sharing his day with her, telling her about new developments in his life. He found this to be so comforting. And when he shared it with other family members, they felt it was helpful to them, just to read it.
Talk to your dad, write to him, read up on the stages you are going through. It's a process, and be kind to yourself while you work through this.
I have 2 Heroes in my life - My daddy and my husband. sm
I truly am blessed! My daddy (step-dad) married my mom with 6 of us kids and took care of us all. He is my hero! Don't know much of my real dad as he left when I was 2. Been told he was abusive and an alcoholic. Better that I have no experience with him, I guess.
Now, my daddy (step-dad) is not just a father but a DAD! He is my hero. He taught me how to be a good person, provide for myself, be confident, strong and gentle! He is an awesome pop-pop too!
Secondly, my husband is my other Hero! I am a very strong, confident person, and a little on the hyper side. He is just the most laid-back, gentle, understanding and kind man I have ever met. Been married 18 years and still going strong. To be honest, his father is the same as him.
So, if you are looking for a good man - I guess meet their fathers and judge for yourself. Most men are like their fathers just like most daughters are like their mothers. Hope that makes sense!
I am sorry for your situation and hope you find the strength and courage to move on and, if and when ready, find a good man!
Hey, my daddy used to live in PP, now lives in Plantation.

Rumor is that Kat's daddy has hired PR firms
in a few areas across the country to vote and text vote for Kat. You know, I wish you could hear Taylor's indie CD that's out. All original songs and it is absolutely fabulous. Everyone who thinks he's "loungy" or can't get past his antics on stage and think it won't translate to listening only...you are really wrong. This CD is great. The songs he's written are great and he performs them well. I am a Taylor fan all the way, but I will admit that it's almost better only listening to him. Nothing at all to distract you, although I do think he's a great entertainer.

my grandmother did that, too, but
...the animals were treated very well during their lives...in preparation. Many animals being slaughtered are not even being killed first...that is the point. Cows - they are sliced up while still alive, eyes moving, cries of agony. Nothing to numb the pain for them. They are beaten savagely in some cases by workers. They are toppled to the ground, just about thrown out of trucks.
This has become the industry 'standard', acceptable by the government...
I would think there is a difference. Our grandparents probably had respect for those animals.
Lots of chickens live blood-caked, full of urine and feces, in hot closed up areas. There is a difference, in my opinion.
Most farmers would not treat their animals like this, either. These are meat factories...
...Again, I am just passing on my experience, because I did not know, I had no idea this is how meat gets to my table...
My grandmother also, except . . .
I never knew any of the symbolism. Thanks for posting that.

I have a little doll that my grandmother
gave me years ago. She called it my "Dammit doll". It's a little cloth doll with no face. She made it for me and wrote this little poem that says some about when you're feeling really stressed grab the little dolly by the feet, find a place to slam it, and as you whap the stuffin' out, yell dammit, dammit, dammit!

Bo and Billy or Bo and Hope?
Well this is quite a disturbing story right now and I have watched this show since the beginning (40 years?), can't you just tell that it was leading up to a Bo and Billie story? Is Hope leaving the show by chance? Seems like the writers are now going with the Bo/Billy theme - every time characters are getting along well they just have to upset the apple cart don't they? Hope Bo/Hope get back soon, as I am getting really frustrated with this theme in the show lol.
Are we related? I have a cousin just like this....sm
as long as she thinks the spotlight can be on her she's all for everything - but if she's not in the spotlight then she doesn't show up, etc. At least I got off the hook when she got married for the FOURTH time - she had a small wedding and invited my nephew (ring bearer), my sister/brother-in-law and my brother (photographer) but I didn't get an invite as she didn't have space.... so I never sent her even a card acknowledging her marriage.
My Grandmother uses Bare Minerals
She is 75 and has never looked better. Her skin glows. It's crazy. That's my next purchase after my other things run out!
Sounds a lot like the Easters at my grandmother's when I was a kid
Except the priest would come to the house the night before Easter and bless all the food on the table. I guess then she had to put it away for the next day, never thought of that before. Also had Babka (like a stollen) - wish I could make one. Cow tongue also on the table.
My grandmother's opinion of the new styles
My grandmother, now 85, with more money than you and I will ever see, just refused to to to dinner with my brother and his wife. They arrived in their almost new Cadillac Escalade and she refused to get in the car, saying it "looks like a hearse" and no one is going to fool her into going to a cemetery before she is darn good and ready.
If Tatum O was not a good actress she wouldn't have work no matter who her daddy was.
But you are right on one count. I would rather watch reality TV than bad acting and TV is filled with bad acting and bad scripts.
I didn't think Tatum did anything wrong unless you think telling the truth is a bad thing.
And his cousin, Frank Spasm
:O
Don't forget McKenzie and Billy - LOL...NM

In talking with my cousin who is a doctor
he says that any doctor who does not speak so that you can understand him does NOT care and most likely does NOT even read his reports! So there you have it. As it has been said many times before, GARBAGE IN/ GARBAGE OUT! ESLs or no ESLs. Those who say you are not a Transcriptionist because you don't want to make a *sensible* document, (you finish this sentence)!!!
Legends of the Fall with my cousin's
Brad Pitt (when he was a HUNK pre-Jolie, obviously).
seems to me your cousin has already made it clear...
that she's not interested in family parties...so I would "believe" her prior pattern of behavior and ignore her shower.
Wow! You and I have a lot in common! Growing up in HI and having a Japanese grandmother who
practically raised me, I learned soo much on how to cook oriental and my "American" family loves it!
I can teach you all kinds of tricks - though you sound like you know most of them. Fried rice and fried noodles are super easy.
For anyone interested: Just boil 3-4 Ramen noodles for about 6-7 minutes. While that is cooking, combine 9-5-1
9 T of soy sauce
5 T sugar
1 teaspoon of fresh garlic
Mix all together. Mix may have too much sugar, in which case add more soy sauce or use less sugar.
Then add strained noodles to frying pan and the sauce - after stir frying for about 5 min. add frozen mixed veggies. You can also add a cooked meat such as chicken too! Family's fav.
Fried rice is super easy too. Cook 3-4 cups of white rice or brown rice. Let it sit overnight. When you are ready to fry them for lunch or dinner, use 2 T oil, 2-3 eggs scrambled and then cold rice - to this add approximately 5-6 T of soy sauce, cook, and then add frozen mixed veggies and fry for about 10 min.
I can make home-made sushi WITHOUT the raw fish and we love that. I can also make homemade beef broccoli.
I have tons of super easy oriental recipes. Cheaper too!
Neat sharing recipes like this...
My grandmother transcribed part time into her mid 70s.
,
Absolutely! My grandmother has been doing this for as long as I can remember...she is
in her 80s, still coloring and going strong! I, too, color my own hair. I don't usually do it, but when I feel the "need," I do my own. Saves big money and looks great every time.
Billy Ray is very hunky playing that doctor...

Burrrpp!
Billy Bob and Ray Liotta are both weird, but I love both of them.
My mother always said I liked weird men. Come to think of it, she was probably right, looking back on my track record.
If he let the tourists "buy their way out", my cousin and her friends, along with -
hundreds of other tourists would be safe and sound.
We have not heard from her or her friends since Friday, August 26, 2005.
You know absolutely nothing!
Cute....from the Billy Joel song?

My cousin never had a problem with shellfish until later in life.
Then one night he ate some shrimp and his tongue swelled and his face swelled and he broke out in hives. It was horrible.
Now he can't even walk by a boiling lobster pot without having a reaction.
But nobody ever knew until he ate that shrimp and he had never had a problem with it before.
So you never know.
My own cousin, an op room RN with a Masters degree tried
and failed at MT. She asked me for advice before starting, but didn't take me seriously when I told her that there was more to it than she thought. But she tried and tested, and just couldn't get hired. Her mother, who is my mother's sister-in-law, was talking to my mom one day, and she said, "Geez, if your daughter can do it, surely mine can! She's a nurse!"
Well, hers couldn't.
Nice, Aunt, huh?
mean, sarcastic manager and QA cousin at meditec
The internship is fine, don't look to get rich though. Purely training. Good way to get your foot in the door. The reason why you may want to stay away is because of the manager and her cousin who is in editing. Mean, sarcastic people! That is how they treated me anyway.
I'll trade your friend for my cousin
He charges outlandish amounts to do our taxes. Last year it was over $550. The year before that was a little less 'cause we had a mortgage. We don't have that this year.
'Course he said he tried to squeeze every last penny of deductions he could out of our taxes. He even filed an amended return after talking to DH about taxes at our last reunion. Saved us a few more thousand dollars....but still hurt. I am an employee, gave up IC 4 years ago, but DH is still self-employed.
my grandmother used vinegar diluted with water on my hair

He is an awesome performer. I saw him and Billy Joel together in Philly. Loved every minute of it!

another wife
My husband has been active duty for 20 years. We were stationed in the same place for 17 years. As soon as he hit the 20 yr mark, they decided we needed to move. Not all military services have crappy housing, though there are some WWII vintage houses still around as the other wife mentioned. I've never lived in housing as a wife, but did as a kid. I told my husband before we married that I wouldn't live on base, but a lot of people do it to save the money. Your kids will miss their daddy, no getting around that. My daughter spent two months on IV antibiotics, two hospitalizations, blood work, etc. Didn't cost me a dime! Just remember, in the military if they want you to have a wife they'll issue you one!
and he and his wife for MT'g ONLY use...sm
expanders/shortcuts and he said that's all he used to transcribe and that he was making $$ hand over fist this way and his wife too.....again he said he never *typed* anything, only used shortcuts for absolutely everything regarding MTg....and in that case you could do 500 LPH I suppose.....if not even more
I don't know the cost of this program any longer, but when I bought Shortcuts from him it did cost $149....it was a very long time ago though....hopefully that price came down over years.....
His wife
I think they are a total mismatch. I don't see how she could have been attracted to him, ever.
OM doc's wife
I have seen closeup a similar experience (a friend of mine) and sorry to say, the deck is stacked against you. Lesson learned= never work for a doc whose wife is involved in his practice in any way...nurse, OM, whatever. Any woman who wants to be that involved is in need of a life, and will almost certainly get on some kind of power head rrip sooner or later, just because she can. Poor doc!!!
I need a wife is what I really need
Told my aunt the other day how much running I had to do and she said just don’t do it. Well, how pray tell does it get done then? What I do is, by working part-time, I take the mornings and/or nights to do what I need. The 2 days during the week I am off is kept for doctor appointments, and taking care of business. I also have a housekeeper which allows me time to do this running around. Working out of the home or working in, I never take time for interruptions. I will answer the phone for 2 and that is if husband calls and/or daughter, other than that goes on answering machine. Even those 2 know not to be pesty in calling.
And, the wife usually
looks at any office expense as a rip-off of her husband's money. Having no idea of the knowledge and skill base required to MT, it probably looks like a pretty easy job to her. Wonder if she'd like to try doing a couple of reports just to see how it is. She might end up doing that very thing if you leave. What a mess that would be!
both he and his first wife were gay. He is totally gay, and says so. sm
He is not bisexual, but has been partnered with David for years. Get your facts straight.
Military wife
Yep, my husband has been in the AF for 29 years. He has been deployed since middle of March and will be coming home at end of May. I've been MT for 3 years, but all at one place. Wish I would've done it sooner, when we were moving around. He's retiring this summer.
Wife swap
I loved it. I have the same problem with my fiance. He comes home and makes cracks if the kitchen table has stuff on it. My deck is the other side of the kitchen table so of course it has stuff on it. Men, gotta love it.
Thanks for letting me vent.
Lisa
I saw his wife yesterday. Don't know where
you get the overweight. Sure she isn't rail thin, but hardly fat. Chris is a local guy. There has been talks for weeks that he didn't really want to win because he would be tied to contracts for a year. He has a family and doesn't want to travel. Look at the year Ruben won. Clay was second and he has been more successful than Ruben, so I don't see not winning is going to hurt Chris. Personally I don't think he can sing, he can scream, but he sounds like a moose in heat to me and I think he'll soon fade into the spotlight. I have better things to do with my time than watching AI so I don't now about the others, though I did see a clip of Taylor on our local Fox news and I thought he could sing and he had a wonderful personality and is very comfortable in the spotlight, something Chris doesn't seem comfortable with.
