I definitely will keep you all posted. You should be able to hear a 90-second audition clip tomorrow. The first show will be July 15th and the second July 29th. The first 20 will be narrowed down to 8 and then the winner. This is a lot of fun and I am definitely singing for "All the Girls" I was never one to get up in front of people and talk much less sing. Finally got the courage. THANKS FOR THE VOTES!! 
Y-City Star competition - like AI
Fellow MTs and American Idol watchers,
I made it to the top 20 in the local Zanesville, OH competition similar to American Idol. PLEASE HELP A FELLOW MT!!! You can go online and vote tomorrow for me. PLEASE!! go to www.whiznews.com or www.zanesvilletimesrecorder.com and cast your vote. You should be able to hear me sing for about 90 seconds. The public vote is only a portion of the scoring. I will be judged on vocal quality and performance as well. The first night of actual competition is July 15th and then again on July 29th if I made it to the top 8. I appreciate each and every vote. There is some stiff competition ahead of me. Lots of talent in OHIO!!! This is gonna be fun!

Don't get the video
You pay an extra hundred for that video screen. Do you really think you are going to download and watch videos? and 7500 tunes? But the real reason besides the money is those screens are notorious for cracking and that is not covered under warranty.

Old terminology video
Hello! I was wondering if anyone remembered an old video that was used to train medical terminology. It was in cartoon style....and it taught the breakdown of terminology.....one I remember was gastr....gastruck...stomach.
I was just wondering if anyone was trained on this.

It could be your video card is going bad.
Does it give you any kind of error message when it won't boot up or does it just sit there?
I know just enough to be dangerous, but it sounds like there could be a problem with the mother board.

The prosecutor in Atuba, I believe her name is Carin Janssen, said the father and the two boys can still be rearrested. They did not have enough to hold them but they are still part of the investigation. For any father to tell his son without a body there is no crime, how awful. You get a grip, it is so obvious the boy is involved and the two friends helped him cover it up.

I watched the video with the interview with the Aruban prosecutor, which was on MSNBC videos in the internet..check it out, maybe it is still there. She said the father was arrested for interfering with an investigation by talking to the boys and telling them no body, no crime.

Go to MSN.com, on the left side are all categories for the news. Go down the column till you see videos (or news videos), about three quarters down page. Click on that, a box will come up with a selection of videos to watch. To the left are categories you can pick from. There is also a search box. Type in Aruba in the search box, click on the arrow and all the videos from the case come up. There prosecutor is the blonde lady, about second row of videos. There were two sessions with her. Click on the play button under the video and you will be able to watch the interview with the prosecutor.

Moral of the story: Don't let your puppy play with kids unsupervised. Look into puppy class/puppy kindergarten in your area. Vet's office should be able to tell you where they are. They are fantastic for socializing puppies with other dogs, kids, and adults. Just completed class with my puppy. Sad to think how many good pups have been put down due to behavior of naughty kids/adults too. So happy this worked out for you and your kids.

it deeply sickens me to think that this was the last face she saw before she died. May her sweet little soul rest in peace with her mother.
I didn't like it either, but when I downloaded the video
and relistened, I had to change my opinion. He sounded great. On the video, the fiddler and the background singer are less distracting and you can really hear Taylor sing.

Home Video to computer anyone?
Does anyone know anything about transferring home videos to computer? When I got a digital camera I had to play with the program which came with the camera for a while before I got the hang of it. I now have a digital video camera and trying to get the video to the computer. I think I have a program that edits video but it asks me about a source. All I did so far is plug the camera via USB port to the computer. Oh, the camera did not come with any special program. Any ideas. Thanks.

Since I am working on Express Scribe, any E-mail I get with a video file, just goes straight to audio ... duh, I know there is an answer, but I am very IT challenged and was wondering if there was an easy fix to this one. Thanks, guys!

You can start very slow and not even do all of the basic video
start off every other day doing the video and on opposite days, walk one mile. I also changed my diet to high protein and low fat with lots of fruits and vegies. I lost 50 lbs starting like this and after only 2 months, I was doing the full more difficult video plus doing 5 mile hikes 2 days a week and an 8 mile hike a third day a week. It only took 4 months total to get to where I wanted. At age 36 I was looking better in a 2 piece swim suit than most 20 year olds! You CAN do it! Make your goal getting into shape, not losing weight. You'll be more successful thinking about it like that!

I looked for that video on YouTube and couldn't find it, and was wondering if there is more info. available on its origins, who made it, when the meeting took place, etc. Hayseed - did you find it surfing on YouTube, or did someone send it to you? Was it fairly recent? Did it have a title other than "How not to hire an American?" I think we might've lost one news organization's interest in it because of the difficulty in tracking down more info. regarding it, so I'm trying to find out as much as I can.

I also saw a video of Hunter Hays when he was older, and I thought it was so weird that there were two boys with the same name that both played accordian. I missed the part on the younger version that said it was an old video... still almost too cute to be true.
It sounds like your video card is getting ready to go out.
If you have an option on your monitor for taking the settings back to the factory default, I'd try that. If it continues, then I'm afraid there's a problem with the monitor itself and you may end up having to get a new one. Sorry to hear about your troubles. I've been there. It's frustrating, to say the least.

It's great she was able to lose the weight and now feel so much better about herself. She doesn't have to be like Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton and tell that she's had surgery if she doesn't want to. Some people may not want their medical/surgical history public. No need to know whether someone had gastric bypass, hysterecomy, or anything else if they don't want to divulge that info.

According to what I read, Star has *turned off* so many readers with her wedding and weight loss that THEY decided not to renew her contract. I am one of those viewers. I never had an opinion on her one way or the other, but once she started with her crazy wedding I was totally turned off.

USA network on Tues at 10 p.m. Announce their winner next week. More to compete to come later in year. Winner wins a RCA recording contract. Wyonna and Cowboy Troy are hosts. Always special guest. Judges are fun. Idol spin-off but way more entertaining, real,and you know who's out from the week before on the show. No extra show to see the results. Awesome entertainment. Not a huge country fan, but have found these kids very talented.
