My lawn service was leaving little packets of M&Ms with notices - bad idea to put in mailboxes (ants), but I thought that was an excellent idea for getting clients. Also, pens with your name on them. You can get them fairly cheap. Good luck!

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but to hear you received a check for 1 cent makes me laugh because my check was for $1.18 and I thought that was bad! As the saying goes, "when you think you got it bad, somebody else always has it worse!"
Seriously though, just sit back and laugh about it! I love working for MQ but recently they have been frustrating me!
Perhaps you and I could get together and with my $1.18 and your 1 cent perhaps we could go buy a McDonald's double cheeseburger from the dollar menu and split it and just BS about Medquist - what do ya say?

Like clock work, when I sit down at my station, pull up my chair to my desk, he'll wait and watch me. When i've stopped moving and started working, he'll trot right under the desk, plop down and place his little snout right on my foot pedal foot. Does not even bother him when I do the rewind, back and forth to play, his head just bobs along with my foot. I have a bichon mix. It bugs the heck outta me but how can I move him, its too adorable. My cat also used to rest her head on my forehead while I slept.
I used to let mine out too and thought nature was great -
Until he went missing and animal control brought him to me in a bag the next day! Who knows how long he lay in the road after he was hit by that car. It just breaks my heart thinking about it. My cats stay inside now and are very happy with their cat trees and toys.
Your training sorta like mine as I also thought
with my having worked in doctor's office, hospitals and so on, I would start out in the transcription department, as a newbie, but mind you I thought it would be a breeze. HA! I had to work with my nose in a book (English and medical) for 12 months before I was ever turned loose to "work." Having said that, the background I got was so much more than if I had taken some course at home. I worked for many different specialities because of the training. Worth it.
and I thought I was bad. I usually wear mine for a week and then change into something else.

Funny! Mine is almost as large, and I don't mind cleaning mine!
It's no problem at all. Besides, I'll take lots of oodles of square footage any day of the week over living in a sardine can!

But outsourcing to India doesn't concern me on iota. Remember ..... they speak a different language than we do and when doctors here hire them, they get exactly what they pay for, which, when you add all things in, they charge for basically equal pay for a real sloppy job........

That's cute! I got a second dog for the
older dog as a playmate and they are stuck like glue now. I wasn't too sure about it at first, the older dog is a Golden and the little guy is a Cocker, but it has worked out. Now the older dog is in his second puppyhood, gets into mischief just like the little guy and teaches him all the good and bad ropes. And of course, they don't tell on each other when the Kleenexes are shredded on the floor. In fact, the new dog was such a stinker that I went to midnights just to get work done. Couldn't let him out of my sight for a minute. I took 2 hour naps during the day when he slept, otherwise, I wouldn't have gotten anything done. He's much better now that he is a year old.

Go to www.whitehouse.gov and on the right hand side there is a like to the BarneyCam. It's a very cute video Mrs. Bush made to take to the Children's Hospital in DC when she visited the kids. No matter your political persuasion, it's just too cute and you also get to see the holiday decorations. My grandkids have had a ball watching it tonight.

Cute, but why do you have a litter box when the cat goes outside?
One way or the other. I wouldn't have cats if I had to deal with a stinking litter box. Yuck!
And no comments about how could I possibly like my cats if I let them outdoors, blah, blah, blah.
They've always been outdoor cats. We live in a remote rural area with no traffic. They are healthy, fixed, up-to-date on all shots, vet checked, well fed and well taken care of. We tried to keep them in after hearing all of the horror stories about letting your cats outdoors, but they weren't buying it and kept howling to go out. The eldest is 13 and the younger one is 9. They started out as outdoor cats and apparently are going to stay that way.
