that was an unpleasant welcome to the board. As any experienced MT knows (or at least the many I know and have worked with and for) most docs do not adhere to the contracts regardless of what they said because they bank on the fact that the littler guy like me don't have the money and/or won't fork it over to pay to take them to court to enforce the contract. I know of several MTSO's who have had this happen to them under contract. However, I have yet to know of an MT who has or was able to convince any physician to pay any type of retainer. Like you said, they're not in it to make ME money. Of course they're not going to pay one thin dime that isn't strictly to produce work.
