While it might be grating on the nerves...

you should try to do what they want because they are paying the bill. My feeling is it's an uphill battle to try to change their way of thinking and there are so many other things out there that I enjoy and would rather spend my energy on.

How to Turn Off that Grating "Ding" at end of MS Word Spellcheck
Hi,
Does anyone know how to turn off that ding that sounds when you finish the spellcheck in Word? The only thing I found was in Tools-Options-General, there is a "Provide Feedback with Sound" box, but that is already unchecked in mine (to the "no sound" option), but still I get the ding.
Not a major issue, but still pretty annoying, especially when you need to turn the volume up to hear a soft dictator...then the ding can blow you out of the water!
Thanks,
Dave
nerves
cranial nerves are usually roman style, but per BOS either arabic or roman are okay.

I wouldn't say she gets on my nerves but... sm
she was just out of her league with the Stevie Wonder song. She should unfortunately stick to country/country rock. I think she has potential but definitely needs to work on her skills!
I have an NP who keeps saying "erythemia." Grates on my nerves! nm

I am from the South, too, but she makes us look stupid. However, I absolutely LOVE Taylor Hicks!! That's entertainment!!!
generic reply--guess I struck some nerves
I don't know how long you MTs have been in the business who have replied negatively to my posts, but I started at a hospital for an hourly wage, which seems to have fallen by the wayside. At any rate, did they switch me out to different hospitals while I was workking there? NO, they did not. And, if they had, it wouldn't have mattered because I was paid hourly and it DIDN'T COST ME MONEY to do so.
We are paid BY PRODUCTION, and anything they do that affects MY PRODUCTION affects MY INCOME. Don't you get that? It doesn't hurt them to do this, it affects OUR paychecks.
I'm beginning to understand that it is possibly some of your attitudes--and probably lack of other choices, I know--that has caused this downfall in the MT field.
