it was supposed to be your errors by either total characters or total words, but total lines just doesn't seem right.  You do a 90 line report and have one error (that is counted as two points) and you have a 97.78%.  I put an instead of a (on accident of course) and got docked two points and failed the review for that patient.  That just doesn't seem right. 

Is this normal?

However, I am truly spineless.  I could not quit because, alas, I am not the only one I'm responsible for here at home.  So, after multiple conversations with folks at work on how they can help to alleviate some of my stress, here I am pounding the keys and probably will continue for a while anyway.  I have let a lot of people down, myself included, with my actions...and not all are work related.  I'm going through some difficult times, but I'm sure there are others out there going through much, much worse. 

I have started taking an anti-anxiety medication though, Lexapro, in the hopes that I can get a grip on my emotions because they do tend to mutate into this huge out-of-control entity and, again, it's not all work related.  I can't remember the last time I did something for me, and apparently if I don't start putting myself first, I'm headed down a very slippery slope.

So, yeah, one day at a time here.  I really appreciate the positive vibes though and I hope everyone else out there is taking care of themselves.

Maybe I'll have more motivation tomorrow. I got everything done early this year and I'm still wiped out. Maybe it was the pitter patter (more like CONSTANT RUNNING) of grandkids. 20-month-old twins, a 2-year-old along with a 2-month-old that is hungry every 3 hours.

I love them dearly, but I'm in my pajamas and it's not even 5:00.

I lost my job and asked my MIL to train me to be an MT.  Boy, now I know what that is really asking, but I had no idea then exactly what that meant for her.  She asked me to come over and listen to a couple tapes and see what I thought.  At that time, she had about 90% cardiology, 5% nephrology, and 5% IM.  I listed and typed a bit.  She liked what she saw and decided to try me out.  I started off 100% on cardiology making about $3 an hour, but by week three I was up to over $10.  She had to 100% proof my work for a few months and then would only proof parts for the next few months.  I live over 50 miles one way from her house, but I drove there 3-4 days a week for 2½ years to work for her and have her be my mentor.  Within the first month, she was so happy and knew she did the right thing by taking a chance on me because I was the best MT she ever had (with or without experience).  She also got to train me "her way" so to speak rather than someone who is untrainable or set in their ways.

Yes, it takes a lot of extra time, but maybe if you give her a couple weeks or a month you can tell if she is going to be good at it or not.  I didn't even have an MT course, but my MIL and her 20+ years experience taught me everything I know.  I now have my own accounts, have been an MT for over six years, and absolutely love it.  You really never know what potential a person has unless you give them a chance.  I was an adminstrative assistance in my younger days, so I knew my way around computers and had some basic formatting knowledge, etc.,

I thank my MIL from the bottom of my heart for giving me the chance to be an MT and work in a field I absolutely love. 

Just a thought for you to think about.

It's not intended for young ones.....it's funny to read, but who really goes to Wal mart and does this??? I think it hilareoud to read!! I would NEVER teach my son this!!

I posted a post below saying I thought trade schools were underrated and were a very viable alternative to a college degree.  A poster responded by writing that people who feel that way aren't college material.

Dano objected to the rudeness of that poster, and now everyone is ganging up on her simply because she thinks people should be treated nicely and with respect.

Can't we all just get along?    It's not like Dick Cheney is your dad or anything.... If they didn't set themselves up to be so perfect, it wouldn't be so funny when they are shown for the normal human beings that they are.

To the OP, with the job market being what it is, MTSOs are inundated with resumes when they advertise.  Keep at it and if you find a company that you really think sounds like a good fit, keep pinging them with e mail, call them if you can get a phone number, and be really aggressive.  The squeaky wheel that stands out is what is going to get their attention.
