Where have you been?

You ask:  Just saw an ad on the MT Jobs board for an experienced Transcriptionist (of course, they want the best) and the pay is 8 cpl for a 75 character line.  What's with these companies? 

You obviously still think we're living in the 1980s?  Do you have ANY idea what the docs are paying this day and age?  Do you have any idea of the competition that's breathing down the American MT's neck, human and machine-wise?   If you don't like what you're being offered to subcontract, why don't you kick your fear straight in the butt and go get your own accounts.  Think that's a breeze.....Boy are you in for a rude awakening, both subcontracting wise and contracting wise.....
