What a steaming pile of manure! SM

So am I to assume that anyone who is not a CMT or does not wish to be a CMT are the “imposters” of whom she speaks? She worry’s less about where her records are being transcribed and more about who is doing the transcription. I have a question. Would it be easier for her to run a background check on an MT in India versus an MT in the United States? Where your medical records are being transcribed directly correlates to who is transcribing your records! Also, how on earth can the “Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity” keep a watchful eye on the integrity of a person’s medical records when the very HIPAA laws created to insure integrity cannot be enforced on offshore MTs?
Here’s the deal, if the AHDI wants to make credentialing mandatory for MTs, then they need to insure that the American MT salary range is increased to reflect requirement of credentials. They also need to disavow offshoring in any and every form, and bring the work back to the U.S. where it belongs and where it is protected by HIPAA. When the AHDI can secure a fair pay range that reflects mandatory credentialing, education, and required HIPAA knowledge and adherence, THEN I will become a CMT again.

No, manure has nothing to do with knee pain.
It had nothing to do with it whatsoever, and for all you know OPs patient could have been there for strep throat. Prayer wouldn't have anything to do with that either.
I am a very proud Christian, but the whole issue here is ridiculous. She didn't start a discussion, she just asked a question as to whether it should be in there. There's a simple answer...yes. It was dictated, so yes. It does not require the whole tolerance lecture or have anything to do with beliefs at all.
Come to think of it, I had 1 that was worse, cleaning horse manure
Cleaning horse stall out, 20 a day. I used to have to take it over to a manurer spread that was in a riding arena that was down lower than where I was, I'd open the door and dump the wheel barrow. One time the spread was almost full and I lost me foot and fell in, about broke my leg. My kids were little then and ran to the other side of the barn and LAUGHED!!!! I came up out of there and said "You better not be laughing at me!!" Oh I was hurt and mad!! What a job!
File...Don't Pile
Hi,
Does anyone have experience using this system by Pat Dorff? I'm curious specifically about the advantages between and the preference between the A-Z vs. the Prefix method.
Thanks.
I may have one. I've got a pile of keyboards and other
computer stuff I'm sorting through, trying to decide what to recycle, what to give to Goodwill, etc. I'll look tomorrow to be sure and let you know.
I have a huge pile of laundry
But I want to buy more clothes because they are having a buy one get the next for $1 at the shopping bug. They I can have more clothes to wash
Isn't that silly
Can anyone say OUTRAGEOUS! I can think of a pile of things better
on that crummy CMT exam that isn't going to amount to a hill of beans for anyone! Why do people keep taking it? The only people who benefit from it sit in the Modesto offices! Heck, they even rake in the dough off offshore MTs getting "certified." What a big bunch of HOOEY!
Oh, my!. I HAVE been there, desk in kitchen while dishes pile up and so on.
The little ones, at least, from this distance are happy memories and much missed. It really does get a LOT easier, I promise, and sooner than you can imagine, up over your head in it all as you are. Keep taking lots of deep breaths.
Our 2 previous Dells are now our random computer parts replacement pile. No more Dells. nm
