is just download the free Express Scribe software for starters. It will play most of the voice files, and once you have landed a position then you can purchase a compatible program if necessary. I use the Olympus PlayerPro transcription module, but have found that when I have received files that it will not play, Express Scribe will play them. The foot pedals are another issue, as not all of them are compatible with all of the different software programs.
