change my shift to nights. As a single mom of three, I need to work. But my children are my priority, and I did not want to put them in daycare and see them 3 hours a day (NOT flaming anyone, that is just my personal desire)....I work 7 PM to 3 AM....sleep from 3 to 7 AM, get up, get the two older ones off to school, and then I take a two-hour nap with my younger one during the day. I make sure dinner and homework are complete before I log on, and plan my break-time sometime between 7 and 9 for bath/bed. It's difficult, yes, and I do have to pretty much ignore them from 7 to 9 at night :(( - but they have far more of "me" than they would on any other schedule I can imagine. This schedule is *really* great in the summer months, as I keep them up later with me watching cartoons and having popcorn while I work, and then we all get up around 9 - I get six delicious hours of sleep, and we have the entire day together.
