I remember a story where a man had his lawyer write a letter on his behalf, threatening a legal action. The lawyer did so and presented a bill for $500. The client was incensed over the bill, complaining "That letter only took 5 minutes for you to write! How can you charge me this much?!"
The lawyer said, "Well, I get $60 an hour for dictating letters."
"Yeah...that only accounts for $5. So what's the other $495 for?"
"For knowing what to write", said the lawyer.
