You are not dumb for doing these things you are just being too nice. Like I said, I would send a letter regarding new compensation rules and he could pay it or not. If not, I would find work elsewhere. No I wouldn't charge for fixing the mistakes, but I would charge for the things like loading it on the computer and converting to word and all that. Even if it is only $5, I would want to be compensated because that isn't part of your job that goes along with the typing. Like you said he is paying you by the page to type his reports. That does not include the other things he has you doing.
