I couldn't agree with you more. I think that what was true for MT 10 years ago is not true today and what is true today will not be true 10 years from now. It is the nature of healthcare... It is always changing. Does that mean we won't have jobs in 10 years... I personally don't think so. As far as I can tell, MTSOs are begging for professional qualified help. I think some people become disillusioned with their jobs and then become more vocal about the bad points of their jobs. I came from nursing to MT and could do exactly the same thing about being a nurse, a profession I see a lot of MTs moving over to. The grass is never greener and every job will have its good days and bad days. It is what fits you MOST days that is a good choice for you. I will say that I did go back to school to take classes to be an MT and really believe that is the way to go to get into this field rather than not. It is harder than just sitting down to type and is a skill that needs to be worked on. That is my soapbox for today I guess!
