Am shocked and saddened each and every time I hear a story like this.

However, in the busy, busy lives people lead today, this is not uncommon at all. Reminds me of the story in the news not so long ago about the father who was supposed to drop his child off at day care on his way to work, but he forgot to do so. The child was later found dead still strapped into the car seat when the father left work to go home. Personally, I find it sad and shocking no matter how many times I hear of incidents like these.

And, I think the point of the poster was to remind everyone who works from home with their children in tow, just how fortunate we are to be able to be home with our children, rather than dragging them to day care day after day for strangers to look after them.

I don't think there was any cause for slamming this person, as you seem to do over and over, unless, of course, a poster happens to whole-heartedly agree with you.
