Well, I am an IC and

good MTs with excellent work ethics DO still exist.  True, we may be outnumbered by those who feel this job can be on a want-to-work basis but there are those of us who realize that although we are an IC, if we do not work when we are needed, our MTSO may not have work for us when we want it.

So, I work when I am needed, I work when I need it, I give plenty of notice when I will be taking days off, I need little QA, if any, and it works out for the two services I subcontract for. 

Just wanted to say that we are out there and please keep giving MTs a chance until you find that * golden * apple.
