I happen to know several young men that have joined the Armed Services and they have gotten a wonderful education, and yes here lately...I want my son to get an education, but to also feel a sense of pride in serving his country. After all, a law enforcement officer is a public servant, is it not? It's attitudes like yours that make our men and women overseas seem like they're not appreciated or valued. year they are in..He has to serve his country either while working on getting his education or holding off on his education until he is out. In the Corps, they have classes they need to take to advance their ranks after LCpl. Unless it is his idea to go in, this will never work. He definitely needs to be physically fit. As for the police department..unless he has military background, he needs a 4 year degree then transfer to the academy. Good luck to both of you..its hard when they are trying to find their way. Our town has a jr college that has a co-op with the college most police officers get their degree from..2 years there, transfer to the other college for the last 2 and then automatic admission to the academy.

Yes, I too am a huge fan! I also hope the hippie boys win. Everytime they come in last I hold my breath. I really hope that neither the frat boys or MoJo win. That would be a huge disappointment. This race has been great so far.

Anyone as big of an AMAZING RACE fan as me??? I'm loving the hippies on this season. I'd like to see them win, but I worry that the frat boys will take the winnings. Some PC queen accused me of having a problem wtih other races, when I said the dictator I was upset about was an "ESL". She's the one who mistakenly, yet predictably, assumed race was involved. I said nothing about race until she brought it up. Take it up with her if you have a problem with bringing race into what someone posts on here.

The kids don't get to do that any more because the cops bust them for loitering, curfew, etc. In fact, that's the first thing DH and I noticed about each other was our cars while cruising the drag. He had a red AMC Javelin and I had a red Dodge Coronet.

Has anyone disconnected the internal sound card and replace with another sound card?
I am having problems with my sound on one of my computers. Several different ExText program have been on it so I don't think it is the program and the sound is just now as clear as on my other computer. Has anyone switched (disconnected the internal sound care and replaced) to a new sound card? Did it make a difference.

My mom didn't have much money and I knew that she had rolled over one so I was just guessing. They sent me a letter a couple of weeks later saying the situation had been resolved and no monies due. I don't know what the problem was, but 5 years later I still have that letter.

all of them, which means that is the maximum you can have, but you customize. You can pick the cheapest one, but by the time you customize it, it can be $200 to $300 more. I looked at them all and the processor speed is not that fast. Depending on what programs you use it may be too slow. I would get one with a faster processor speed. You may also want to get a laptop with XP instead of Vista since there are still so many bugs with it.
