I wish the MT help desk would come to this board to answer questions, etc. I hate talking on the phone, being put on hold, being transferred from one person to another, getting called back when I'm changing a dirty diaper, etc.
Here's my theory. We were taught to place nice.
Even if you hated the person and hated their ideas we were taught we needed to share and play nice. Well here on boards and in chat rooms, you don't have to play nice and we can vent and rant and not have to suck it in.
I believe it is healthier here on these boards than in real life where you need to smile in people's faces in the workplace, in the neighborhood or even in the family when you would rather tell them what you think at best and at the very worse give them a good old fashion A$$ kick and tell them to get out of your face with their BS..     
Here you don't need to be phoney baloney and you can tell people exactly how you feel w/o repercussions. And that's a good thing.

I am looking at IC jobs and most require Word 2000 or above. I have a Dell computer and it came with WP. I need the full version, not an upgrade. Does anyone know of any deals online? or is it best to go somewhere like Staples?

MQ was a good place to work
I have been with them for 6 years and before that with another company. I have been extremely happy working for MQ; but too many things are changing and it is a very uncomfortable feeling. I wish I still had my old office to work from but unfortunately I have no say.
I might be checking out the grass on the other side to see if it is really any greener. What do I have to lose? I am no longer happy.

Need a good place to get ink cartridges.
I have been ordering my HP ink cartridges for Office Depot. The expense is getting out of hand, and the ink does not last any time at all. Does anyone have any ideas? Walmart seems to be higher than Office Depot. I have gotten burned before ordering from some place online. The cartridges were an off brand, and although they said they would, they would not work in our printers.
Where's a good place to find curtains?
My new office is ready to paint and decorate, so I want to get everything ordered. They didn't have anything I liked at eBay, K-Mart or Shopko. Any ideas?

Chauncey Creek Lobster Pier, Kittery Point, ME.
You bring your own cocktails, appetizers, tablecloth. It is creekside, very casual, parts are open air and parts under a tent. You pick your lobster, they cook and bring to your table. Just fabulous, just get there early because parking is limited.
New Hampshire, there is no sales tax on liquor.
Just driving up the coast of Maine is fabulous.

It's all nice and good to have your POV
made from bad decisions. For example, while I made a choice to get involved with a particular man, I didn't chose to have him stalk to THREE different states, or have to move 9 times in 9 years, pay oodles of money to lawyers and private dectectives to protect my physical safety! Yeah, you bet I ran up my cards.
I'm free of debt since filing for BK (before the new change in laws) and I have a fresh life in a new city with no worries about my safety. I recertified the debt on my car so I still have it and the car payment, but they can no longer add late fees if I run late (hasn't happened yet). I earn enough money to pay cash for everything. On the one occasion I did need a few hundred dollars until my next payday, I went to a cash advance place and paid the outragous 450% interest for a 4-week loan.
You need to remember that instead of BK being a really long-term mark on your credit, it actually resets your credit score and within a year, you can have a better score than you ever had before. I'm already getting tons of offers to get a new car, new credit cards (all of which are shredded). But I now qualify to buy a home (never owned one before), plus get grants for the down payment...there are many perks to filing it.

They know to come in when the street lights flicker on.
Strength in numbers though. I'd never let one of my kids go to the playground on the next street over by themselves, but my parents never let any of us wander off too far by ourselves either. It was always with a bunch of other kids.

just keep it in mind for the future. www.chad.org. Also there are some informative videos at coolnurse.com. About 10 videos regarding ADHD. you will have do a search on the site but it's worth it. If it's in her father's family it could be possible that she has it, and if so, you needed to get educated about it and be her advocate. School systems respond very well to confident, well prepared parents who come in to meet for a plan that allows for reasonable accomodations. I've been doing it for years.
I'm trying . . . husband mentally ill (sm)
and hasn't worked for nearly a year. I was working until I had to go to take care of sick dad for 3 weeks and husband didn't pay the rent. We've been in shelters and such since, now down to our last few days. This isn't the children's fault. They're the only thing I've ever done right in my life. I love them so much. But I'm scared of living on the streets, obviously can't do MT (haven't been able to since Feb since no shelters offer phones or Internet). I was thinking of seeing if they could be placed in foster care and trying to get myself OK in the head enough. what do you think?

This is not the norm. I average 130-175 lph, so it would take me a bit longer than 3 hours to make $100 (I am only PT now so I don't make much more than $50 a day) , and as she would be starting out fresh at a new job, probably with a national doing nothing but ESL the odds are she won't be making $100 in 3 hours.

 Geez. I agree that there are a lot of reality shows on TV the last few years which are ridiculously stupid. But, this one is different, in my opinion. These are people (at least the ones who make the finals) who have talent and are just out there doing their thing trying to get a recording contract. It's called......MUSIC!

It's no different than asking if typing someone "makes her money on her back" is appropriate. It's not the subject itself---it's whether or not it should be in a medical document because it's not medical. My answer is yes...if the doc dictates it then you put it in. There have been plenty of things over the years I would've left it, but you just put it in.
There's no reason for these attacks on her though...she didn't say anything was wrong with prayer. She didn't say she didn't tolerate anything Christian.
Everyone is WAY, WAY to defensive on this. She could very well be Christian herself, but you don't know that because she didn't say one way or another and didn't say it was good or bad.
Any suggestions for a good MT for part time other than MQ as far as a nice company to work for. I

Chill out, all she is doing is wearing a color she obviously likes -
and black in high school, some pretty wild clothes too. Doesn't sound like she is going goth or anything. Lots of girls wear black, nothing wrong with it. Remember pick your battles and don't blow the little things out of proportion.....as for rebelling I would not consider this anywhere close to rebelling.
