I manage pretty much a similar amount - 350 maybe 370 lines with good dictator's work. And yes I also can make more money doing straight transcription.
The company I work for quoted a figure of 3 times as fast for VR versus straight typing, which would mean I would be able to do VR editing at a rate of about 750 or more lines per hour! Well, that is not happening. I wish it were - it would mean I was making $30 an hour. I am really happy when I get straight typing mixed in with the VR - some days on the account I do, I can get maybe 30% or so of typing. It just seems easier to get to my goal in terms of money earned per day that way.
