In Reply to: Help! Gatorade was spilled on my foot pedal - sm

It would have to be Gatoradae, huh?! Sticky! Don't know what, if anything, you've done since posting. If you do need to clean it, unplug it, unscrew the underside screws that hold it togeter and take the thing apart. You can wipe off the nonelectronic parts, such as the actual pedal part you step on and the housing, with warm soapy water and a sponge until it is no longer sticky. Rubbing alcohol may due better to cut the sugar. If the electronic parts inside got "Gatoraded", the only thing I can think of is with a Q-tip dipped in alcohol try to gently get as much off as possible. If there is a circuit board that got wet, I don't know what you can do. Google "cleaning sticky liquids off electronics" and that will give you some ideas. Whatever cleaning method you use, be sure to let the foot pedal dry out completely before reassembling and plugging back in. Good luck!
