URGENT: I called Frontline myself and they said NO, sm

they do not recommend using the dog formula on cats. You have to use the cat formula. In other words, they take no responsibility for off-label use as they call it. Not using the product as directed. Sorry to be a budinsky, but this is scary stuff.

frontline
I use my little dog's frontline on my cats. Just make sure you take into consideration the size difference. My dog is 18 pounds, so I would split one of his tubes between 2 of my cats.
frontline
I know this is an old message, but if someone else drops in here to get advice:
I'm a chemist and I have an incredibly good vet and both of us have done our research. My veterinarian actually sells me Frontline PLUS for large dogs. It was their idea as cost effective since I have four cats. The Vet recommended the following dosage: 1/2 cc (mL) per cat, unless the cat is huge.
My Maine Coon (13+ lbs) gets 1 whole CC.
We have been doing this for years with absolutely no ill effects. Two of my cats suffer from flea allergies and I start buying this stuff in March and keep it on them till November.
The difference is that Frontline has the exact same ingredients whether it is for Cats or for Dogs. OTHER FLEA TREATMENTS do not. Advantix is a great example, containing a compound that is extremely poisonous to cats (causes seizures and can lead to death).
Can Frontline for dogs be used on cats?
Am short on cash right now and my two cats are needing treatment. Don't want to make them sick and figure that is why cats cannot use dog flea remedies. Wanted to see if anyone had ever done this. I don't want to take any chances with Charles and Cali <meow>
Thanks !!!
I thought we were talking about Frontline here. NM

urgent
check to see if whoever bought and shipped it purchased anything on their American Express card. I think they insure your purchases if it lost or stolen. Just an idea.
urgent
Sorry, I forgot you have my $20.00. Tell me where to send it. Sometimes you have to "pay it forward".
Is it urgent?
I e-mail my supervisor 3-4 times a month on average. On average, she replies about 50% of the time. Of that, 50% of the time she has not understood the question and answered a different question entirely. As that communication doesn't suit me, I try to hold strictly to either IM or phone.
The phone, of course, she has the option not to answer (and exercises that option). On IM, she asks if it is urgent and then to e-mail her.
If a company requires you to be on IM for business purposes, and you can find your supervisor between Out To Lunch, In a Call, Be Right Back, or Busy, does it have to be URGENT? I am not sure of IM etiquette, and as far as I am concerned nothing about my job is URGENT, but I only IM when I think it is IMPORTANT. I don't ever IM and ask how the weather is or who she thinks will win the next Survivor.
It is getting to be a make or break deal for me. Should I be able to ask her if it is URGENT when she IM's me asking if I'm there. Or what I am working on? Or if I will do a stat report for some unheard of location that she is going to send me anyway?
Are you seriously supposed to ask the question you IM'd about while you are trying to give it an URGENT rating? I think it is rude and demeaning but maybe other people see it differently. I would love your thoughts!
Did anyone watch Frontline last night? I will NEVER shop in Wal-Mart again.
Cheap prices will not mean a thing if the middle class U.S. population is out of work. I'd rather see my neighbors with a job and pay Target prices
The so-called "reality show" is the lowest form of so-called entertainment in recent years
I hate them. They've ruined TV.
Agree with Romey. I use dog Frontline - split one tube between my 4 cats.
My cat veterinarian authorized us to use cat Frontline on our 5-pound tiny toy poodle
She said it goes by size and he's the size of a small cat.
urgent calls
That would work, with the cell phone. I have my house phone line and the extra phone line for work only. The company I work for has toll-free access, so I don't need toll call or long distance service, and it runs less than $20 a month.
I also like having caller ID so I can also see who it is, and the answering machine so I can hear why they are calling. If it's urgent or important, I take the call. Otherwise, I don't answer it. You wouldn't believe how much productivity it eats to answer the phone every time it rings.
Equipment help -URGENT
Is anyone using the Voice Solutions DA-128? If so, could you look at the power source and tell me the input and output voltage specs? I recently moved and lost my transformer! I need to find a replacement in order to work!
Its only urgent when its their problem
I used to have a supe that blew me off on everything; but was quick to call me when she had a hassle (usually on my day off on my cell phone - so that I'd drop having a life and rush home to type a stat). I kept a list of ignored questions ready and each time SHE called ME I laid them on her and she got trapped into dealing with at least one or two if she wanted my help on HER "urgent" problem.
Sorry about the IM thing, that must truly suck.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST
Please pray for our little dog, Fluffy, who is in the hospital right now and on oxygen. We just came from there and he is having a lot of difficulty breathing. He has swelling on his spinal cord and they are unable to do additional testing to find out why because of this complication. Please everyone say a prayer for him that his breathing stabilizes and they can find out what the problem is.
Thank you and God Bless
Urgent question regarding BOS guidelines!! PLEASE sm
I'm testing for several jobs right now that will offer the full-time status I desperately need to support my family.
The last job I had didn't follow BOS guidelines and I as advised by a few MTs to follow these guidelines when formating the body of the test reports. I do not own this book nor do I know anyone that has it. Are there any online resources that I can refer to for some of the more common guidelines?
I need all the help I can get and want to thank those willing to take a moment to help a fellow MT out!!
God Bless!
I have an urgent question regarding Olympus DS2 recorder...SM please
I have a new account and the office manager called me because the doc is off who usually uploads their DSS files to my site. I'm not familiar with this process and am wondering if anyone can help. The office manager got directions from the doctor before he left, but I believe she is missing one step. These are the directions she has.
Plug in the recorder with the USB attachment, make sure the recorder is on, go to the Olympus program, highlight and drag over the DSS file to my site. Well, the problem is that she can find the voice file. It seems like the file is not uploading from the recorder to their computer.
Is this something that is done automatically or do you have to manually upload the voice file, name it, and save it to their computer? It doesn't seem right to me that you would just plug the recorder in and it automatically uploads, names the file, and saves it. Maybe I'm wrong.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
URGENT REQUEST: An MT that we sent a box of gifts to did not receive the package.
It was delivered to their porch according to UPS but she did not get it. It contained gifts for her children. Because we did not put insurance on the package, UPS will do nothing to assist. The box alone to ship had cost $45.00 and insurance would have cost another $25.00. It is a sad story, but what it boils down to is that the kids won't have a Christmas. All monies in the Santa's House for Christmas Angels fund have been dispersed through the Christmas Angel program.
So, I am here to ask for help. I would like to raise $150 to $200 today if at all possible and for anyone who donates $10.00 or more to this special cause, I will give a software package that contains a word Expander and spellchecker that is worth over $100.00 for your trouble. Donations can be made to sales@mtstars.com via Paypal.
Again, thank you for your consideration.
In the time it takes her to ask you if it's urgent, she could have just answered your question! n

Yes, I use a prepaid Tracfone from Nokia- works well for me since I only use it for urgent stuff -nm

Great post. I swear by both Advantage and Frontline Plus-- both work great! - sm
I don't know about "natural" approaches for the house. I have always used flea bombs in the past before the miracle of Advantage and Frontline changed my life. Have not had a flea problem at all since I began using those products about 10 years ago, dose all the dogs religiously once a month with the Frontline Plus except in Dec.-Feb. to save a few bucks and because the ground is generally frozen by then and no fleas are scurring about. -- Hope you get flea free soon.
It's time we all called NJ. I called
They can't provide anything in writing.
Nobody knows anything - keep telling you to call your supervisor.
I smell something worse than New Orleans coming from NJ.
If it was a clinic, it might have been urgent care, but it was NOT acute care. sm
Acute care refers to work in an acute care setting, a hospital, doing at least History and Physicals, Discharge Summaries, Consultations, Surgery notes, Emergency Department notes, and much more, including GI procedures, Cardiology procedures, Neurological procedures, Pulmonary Function Studies. It goes on and on and it means and acute care hospital setting, not a clinic.
I think all new mts should be called
mt wannabe (that's me) I wannabe, but feel like I will never get this down ever.... my job is so hard that my day is such a breeze !!!!!!
he just called nm
nmn
I called them
with my complaints and filed an Employee Complaint form but they say that there are no problems, they are only getting isolated complaints -so EVERYONE who has a complaint needs to call them and follow up with a filed written Employee Complaint.
seems to me if he called YOU, he should already know your name...sm
just my opinion. I hate these calls and mostly never answer until it becomes three or four times a day, then I answer and I am not nice. they usually do not call back after that. It has been relatively quiet around here for a while now...knock on wood. lol
Can you tell me what else it's called please?
That might explain why I didn't get such good results on my search.
that's called....
the old bait and switch!! They ALL do that! :(
They are called.....sm
They are referred to as non-word utterances. And if you want to belong to a forum that is not just MT, I own one at Google Groups called the Legal, Medical, and General Transcription forum. The URL is http://groups.google.com/group/Legal-Medical-General-Transcription?hl=en
Yes, I have what are called
Druscens and I do not see them, only can be seen with the lamp exam physician does. These can be started on macular degeneration. My vision is excellent but knowing what I do, make sure I take eye vitamin, eat leafy greens, no smoking and wear sunglasses out always.
You called her? LOL.
x
Have you called your QA to ask about it?
x
That was not called for.
Your are totally wrong for berating this person the way you did.
I was called....sm
but called and told them I was sick. I wasn't really but how do they know? I have other things to do.
I called about it . . .
and had information sent to me. From the commercials I thought it was a non-invasive procedure, but it is very similar to a traditional facelift. They do say the incisions are smaller, so healing is quicker. They also say the scars are less noticible. The before and after photos look incredibly good to me. I'm still considering it, and if I wasn't such a chicken I might just do it.
Have you ever just called a
business and just interviewed them before you applied so they could interview you? Does that make sense.? I may have an in-house transcription job. They told me that everything was looking in my favor, but they are still interviewing and will let me know for sure Friday. They offered a pretty good wage and I would take it but if I can find something closer to home even if a little less pay I would go for that too. I have been looking into businesses that have nothing to do with transcription. I am thinking about calling the local banks and seeing if there are any entry-level positions available for data entry, administrative assisting, clerk. I don't have an accounting degree of business degree, just extensive computer knowledge that transcription requires. I really don't know what to ask for to tell the truth. The local banks never advertise for help but I do see new people in there from time to time.
I have also been looking to get my CNA certificate renewed which I may just do. I was going to call the nursing homes here and see what the starting pay would be, what the patient/aide ratio is, what the hours would be like.
To tell the truth, I am not making it with these home jobs. I have already been through 3 companies. I never had a work history like that before. Before I came home, I stayed with 1 place for 8 years, then another place for 6 years before that. I hate jumping around and most of all, I hate babysitting my computer for work. I want 8 hours then be done.
just called the bank and
Yeah, they called me twice
not possible to block a "100" number and that is all there is. It is weird.
Here it's called Transcam (sm)
Do a search at the top of the board. You'll get plenty of information on their scam.
Isn't that called profit
They charge the hospital more than they pay us.... yes.....don't understand what is supposed to be bad about that. It's called profit. As far as calculating the lines differently for the MT versus how they count them for the hospital for billing, there is nothing illegal about that and there is nothing that says they have to calculate the lines the same way.
well, they called me yesterday, but (sm)
I wasn't here. So, she left a message, stating that if I had any questions regarding the new plan, I could call them back. I aint even gonna bother...just see what happens when it happens. But, if anyone else does talk with them, I'd love to know what they have to say! Good day all!
I called ATT and they told me to get the
AllDistance plan for $40/month. Is this what I want? I asked for unlimited business LD. Also, does anyone know if they would have 'red-flagged' our #? I mean, we had ATT initially and were kicked off for using the personal ULD for dictation and we switched to MCI. So would ATT have noted this and then not let us have the business ULD? I appreciate all the help, ladies!
It's called ENABLING

Have you called the teacher? sm
Over the years I've had to e-mail and talk on the phone to my child's teachers. If you don't have the teacher's number or e-mail, you could probably call your child's school and get the information. If the teacher is worth his/her salt, they would probably be happy to help you out.
I just called my office and was
told there was nothing on every single account. No work at all this whole weekend she said probably. Nada, nothing, zip.
It's called eloping........sm
When you have 7 or 8 patients at night you can't possibly physically watch all of them at once. If you're in a room with a patient who is going bad or in the middle of a complicated dressing change, you can't watch the hall.
With all of the budget and staff cuts at the hospital where I work, I could very easily see where a patient could walk off the floor and out of the hospital. There is one security guard at the entrance to the hospital and if s/he is in the bathroom or dealing with an issue away from the desk, well, it is very possible a patient could just walk right out.
My question to you is: where were the family members? We ask that a family member stay with the patient if the patient is confused. You need a doctor's order for restraints, and patients are not tied up these days because they wander.
Tired RN.
Has anyone ever tried anything called a Grapefruiter? sm
I saw it in a cooking gadgets catalog and then did some research online. It kind of looks like a garlic press, but with blades that fit over the grapefruit and then scoop out the fruit a section at a time. I have seen it priced anywhere from $12.99 to $19.99, not a fortune, but wanted to see if anyone had ever tried it before plunking down the cash. (I am a sucker for gadgets! ha)
Happy New Year!
why would YOU get called into court?
All you know is what is in the medical record. You have nothing else to do with it...
