When I got a lot of crappy dictations in my queue, I complained about this and asked WHO assigns the work, who gets the crap and who gets the good ones.
I was told that it is NOT assigned at ALL, the oldest is picked first out of the pool and so on, and that it is all random and nobody is favored.
Now I read in this post that the Leads (team leads ?) distribute the reports. Who are they? The owners, the supervisors or the QAs?
I had once an argument with a QA about grammar and I was right and she was wrong, and from that moment on I got the crappiest crap of the crap into my queue.

I agree with you to an extent...this is how it goes with the company I work for: QA DOES have the opportunity to assign work to the "MT" and there is the "Team Lead" who can assign the "MT" into whatever pool of work he or she pleases to do so. The aftermath would be that the "MT" will be given the crappy work regardless. I love the company I work for, but in the last month, there is a new "Team Lead" who is not playing fairly! I have contacted the ower of the company regarding this and hopefully things will be done right.
I would contact the bank, stop the auto debits, contact the lender...
Contact the lender, explain that you stopped the payment because of financial difficulty. Ask if they have a hardship plan. You probably have a 20-day grace period on your loan payment, (they report to credit bureaus when 30 days late) and you probably also have a grace period on your insurance. In the meantime within those 20 days of grace, FIND A WAY to make some cash. It seems, at least from my experience, that when you get behind, it is almost impossible to catch up. If you use next month's check to pay last month's bills, you never get out of the hole. I've been in that downward spiral and I understand what you're going through. I've sold things on Ebay, consigned clothing at consignment stores, and worked two jobs just to stay afloat at times. Every little bit helps. It can be done. But don't WAIT, call them today!!
You mentioned the IRS. Try calling the Taxpayer Advocate's Service toll free at 1-877-777-4778. They are independent from the IRS and their function is to help solve IRS problems that cannot be solved through normal channels.

My office assigns work to me, and in DocQScribe, they come up with a little "R" next to the job number for "routed". Periodically, they are nasty and were obviously attempted and jettisoned by someone else. More often, however, they are a bank of reports for a particular dictator, who I suspect has gone through the channels and whined and wants all their reports NOW.
The pros of this situation:
One dictator for 10 reports means I can fly through because they're probably saying the same things over and over. Or at least I can get used to their style and plug away.
Sometimes the group I'm routed is awesome: seven podiatry surgeries or consults in a row.
I like to think that things are routed to me because my office knows I will sit still and type until every one of them is done. I'd like to think they can count on my accurancy and efficiency.
I take it as a compliment. Maybe it's intended that way for you too, even when it sucks rocks. My partner gets nasty, nasty dictators routed to her sometimes because she's one of the few people who can do them and refrains from whining. Building goodwill with your MTSO pays off in odd little ways in the long run. And again, while it sucks for you, it might your strong work ethic and accuracy that leads your supervisor to believe you are the one for these jobs. Take heart!

seal mothers do not go nearly insane with fear and pain as they watch their babies being clubbed to death in front of them. - you've got to be kidding. Animals are incapable of the complexities of logic and emotion to get to that conclusion. If you want something to be frantic about, go to Africa and see the abandoned newborn infants piled in chicken wire crates in the hospital. Let's get priorities in order and no, a boy is not a dog or a pig or a rat.
That is what I'm doing, but I want to read the seller's
response to negative/neutral feedback. If the seller responds back in a nasty manner I don't want to deal with them. If the only negative is shipping is too high that isn't going to influence me bidding, but if they are ugly to what appears to be an innocent post I don't want to deal with them. I don't care if they have 100+ positives, I don't want to do business with someone like that.

Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you want to look at it. I did just put in the frame and hung it up. It's kind of in a darker corner of my office, so it doesn't show up that well. I'm just disappointed. It is a 1986 poster for the release of a Paul McCartney album and it is of he and his wife Linda. It's an awesome poster and like I said from where I put it, you can't really tell. Hopefully, it will smooth out some in time.
Its not that I'm worried about bidding, but if the seller is ugly in
response to neutral or negative feedback I don't wan to deal with them, I don't care if they have a 99% rating. Sure there may be hundreds of positives, but it is their response that I'm looking for to see if I want to deal with this person/company.

the item to you anyway. Either the winning bidder backed out, the seller had a duplicate item, or they lowered their reserve price.

I had a lot of trouble with static in my C-phone. I replaced the phone cord and that made a big
difference. Also, have you tried a different headset? Also someone told me one time that there is a microphone under your volume control on the right corner of the C-phone. It's a tiny hole. If you break off a Q-tip and stick that into the hole that will squelch a lot of background noise and that worked as well. As far as getting your C-phone service, I heard that Dictaphone is "sunsetting" C-phones at the end of this year. Meaning, they aren't going to service them anymore as they are considered an obsolete technology. So, I would contact Dictaphone and see what your options are.
I know very little about Lanier equipment. I've not used it as extensively as Dictaphone. Is there a local appliance repair place in your area? You might ask one of those places to take a look at your equipment and see what they think. Kinda scary, cause they could do more harm than good, but maybe worth a shot.

I am not sure about you problem, because it sounds just like I have mine hooked up. The only thing I can think of is that mine has 2 line hookups in the back of the phone. If you have this too, I would just try the other one, which you probably have already done. Sorry that was not much help. I wish you luck
I have a very loud hum when using my C-phone, but no hum when I'm using the regular phone. SM
Anyone else experience this problem with their C-phone? Is there a problem with my C-phone? At first I thought it was my telelphone line and called the phone company. They sent a technician out to replace the lines and check the house, but the hum is still there on the C-phone.

We only have one phone line. I rarely get/make calls and when I do we have cell phones. I just started working with a C-phone and got digital phone. I can go a month and my phone not ring, so far have gotten 3 calls today, but I'm afraid that if I try to answer the phone that I will lose my report.
I guess I could pull up a report and have my husband call on his C-phone and test it that way and then if I lose it no biggie.

Nothing that big, he was not there when I tried to contact
about it, sent instant message. it was report that always goes under STAT and I think had to let someone read over some blanks. He contacted me that night and we talked about it and I got it ok but then I had follow up wrist slapping the next workday from the higher up than him. What I was wanting to know does this go on with others, first 1 boss, then another boss- felt like tattling in grammer school with this.

And they gave me the simplest *test* which was basically not even medical dictation, and they tell you that they will *train* you and then provide you with a job, but first you have to buy *their* software. Fortunately I did not fall for their scam, but others have said that after your *training* and they test you, you never really get good enough for placement. Please believe the other posters. It is a huge scam.

You really need to contact your sm
prosecutor's fraud unit and see how they suggest you proceed. You really need to be careful in posting her name and address because since you are an IC and she the "debtor" you may be putting your self at the very least in violating debt collection laws - penalties are not cheap. I believe you posted this a few weeks ago, right? Did you send that formal demand with return receipt giving her a deadline to pay? That's the first thing they (authorities) will ask for. $16k plus is a HUGE chunk of change. I really think you will need to resort to legal matters to collect, and probably by judgment. I know it's frustrating, but posting her name and address on the internet is liable to cost you much more than the $16K.

I got new contacts a couple months ago and am having trouble with them collapsing after a week or two of wear, making it really hard to get them in. I am beginning to believe they are making them softer so that we have to replace them more often. TIA

If you take them out at night they will last forever. You shouldn't sleep with them in because the contact lens blocks the exchange of oxygen with your cornea. And besides, if you take them out, they are fresh and feel great in the morning when you put them in.

I had a former coworker say something completely bizarre to me one day. It turned out she had an undiagnosed brain tumor and she passed away soon after. Saying things completely out of context can be signs of other neurological problems, early dementia, stroke. I have no first-hand experience with bipolar, though.
