Never said people didn't have typos we are all human BUT the mistakes I stated were NOT typos
I probably QA where you work..hmmmmm
Very true, but the stupid mistakes get old after you tell them
over and over and over and over again. They just blow you off. What makes me so mad is they DO NOT read over their work and if they did, half the mistakes would be caught. The sentences that make no sense...for example. He has pain with driving the walking on concrete that lessens on lass. That sentence should have been...He has pain with driving and walking on concrete. It lessens when walking on grass. (THAT IS WHAT THE DOC SAID).
The OP said a minor had to have at 17
in case they had breast cancer!! Yep, I guess if a 17 year old should have breast cancer they would not be able to drive a car. I wonder what elderly ladies who actually have the disease do for getting around?
Because his minor was in business..sm
Ummmm...he didn't go to college to be a K-mart manager, per se.
He was a history major and after graduation was a high school history teacher. When my mother was pregnant with me they decided that having a nice house, etc would be harder on a teacher's salary. My mother was also a college graduate but they both decided it would be best for her to stay home.
So....my dad started in the manager's program. My dad likes business and he likes people. You'd be surprised how much money K-mart and Walmart managers make. Managers in smaller retail stores do not make the kind of money that those in the larger stores make.
I'm assuming you feel like retail management is beneath someone with a college degree? My sister has a four year degree and is the general manager for a small radio station and makes 2-3K less than I do transcribing.
Plus....minor inconvenience but still....
When I worked in-house, we started getting some really bad static on our dictation (so much so we had to leave blanks), and our IT person finally figured out it was because the doctors would have their cell phones turned on and sitting right next to the speechmikes.
Try telling a doctor to keep his/her cell phone turned off. Not happening.
If your daughter is a minor...
the doctor has to get your approval and permission.
The ones who are the first to take a drug that came on the market, are always the 'guinea'pigs'.
They are the ones on whon the 'studies' are done.
If the study has negative results, the drug is withdrawn from the market, and the guinea pigs are the victims. E.g. Hormone therapy, antidepressants, etc.......
If you are skeptical,I would not allow it.
BA in chemistry with a minor in biology

Please calm down. Minor MRI findings are usually accompanied by (sm)
the message, "Correlate with clinical history." Radiologists don't know the patient' history in detail. They are often noting findings that can't be interpreted without knowing the patient. That's why radiologists will so rarely talk to patients; they aren't your doctor and aren't able to match findings with symptoms and clinical findings. I suspect, but can't know, that your MRI is perfectly normal ... FOR YOU. Let your MD mull it all over. If he/she is not certain, he'll send you to a specialist.
It doesn't sound right to me. That one MINOR error should only be counted
as 1/2 point because it's not critical to patient care.
Pointing out minor errors is not amusing. It is simply rude.

An addendum, minor corrections are one thing - being a slob dictator who consistently cannot put his

SORRY about the typos!!!! nm
Typos
maybe you had better check your own postings for typos before you pick on someone elses..."so take YOU typos and whining to b a blog..." hmmm. easy to make a mistake, isn't it??? LOL.
Typos
I use spell check all the time, it is part of being a professional. Except, of course, for the test, lol. Obviously, the poster who mixed-up "their" and "there" needs to start using it or, at the least, proofread their posts.
take YOU typos?

Sorry for typos....
I have been very upset today..!!
Typos are everywhere
Yeah, the ditmo that typed the cover spelled it wrong, what is priceless, they fixed the cover of the book, but they left the webpage incorrect.
Typos are everywhere. You will love this one. At the corner store where I live there is a plastic sign that has been there for years. The sign reads, "Florida Lottory" and it has a pink flamingo on it. It was made by the Florida Lottery Commission.
Right next to the incorrectly spelled, "Lottory," they have a poster plastered in the window that reads, "The Florida Lottery has provided over 10 Billion dollars towards education."
Now either that money was not put to good use . . . or someone is lying. oh boy.

Now what were you saying about "simple typos?"
sorry for typos. I usually get paid
extra for those at work but this was JMO and I didn't QA myself
I know there are typos. I'm not QA and I didn't
proof. My post is a bit disjointed, but I think I got my point across. I tried to represent both sides fairly.
I'm tired - typos ... (sm)
I meant that the government is NOT on our side.
AAMT is not on our side, either - since they came on the scene, conditions for MTs have plummeted. A very few people there have gotten very rich off of MTs, especially newbies. And now AAMT seems to be getting involved with India. (Why am I not surprised?)
Oh, boy! Sorry for the typos...long day! nm
.
Please overlook typos. I am on my way
to bed and didn't proof anything. I appreciate that thanks.
Do you ever catch your typos?

Sorry about the typos in my previous message!
I am so livid with the 'suits' I can't even type straight, lol - anyone else there feel that management should only include someone who actually did the dirty deed of being an MT before the they think that they can 'manage us'?! I love the companies where the owners are previous MTs - now there is a company that is run intelligently in my opinion and the company that you would want to trust and put your efforts in.
Not the typos it's misspelling "niece" that bugs.

Yikes--and now I can't spell anymore obviously--sorry for the typos!

my PS makes typos but I wouldn't trade my PS
because my PS (production supervisor) is the most communicative and we all love this one....typos, schmypos - who cares as long as they get their point(s) across to us. They are not MTs nor typists.
Typos happen, and BTW, the word is grammAr (so you

And, gad, check out the typos and syntax issues.
Most mistakes are not mistakes at all.
They are merely personal preferences other than those found in the the AAMT BOS which, incidentally, is not an "Official Rule Book of Medical Transcription" as AAMT would like it to be in order to sell more copies.
