AVOID AT ALL COSTS SoftScript, Transcend, Medquist, OSI, Transolutions
SoftScript has bad, bad ESL accounts.
Transcend is notorious for running out of work while they have plenty of well-to-fo executives. They overhire, then nobody has any work. They will call you every day to "work extra" - that is, if they have any work to do.
Medquist is having a massive exodus because they have been sued for fraudulent billing. There are thousands of people looking for new jobs, so maybe you can get something soon.
OSI offshores like crazy but their worst problem are some of their lunatic department heads, one in particular with no experience and less of a brain. NO IDEA how to run a successful company able to keep good employees. Most of their best MTs have left and they are stuck with a bunch of MTs fresh out of school.
Transolutions - Low, low pay and horrible QA department that is not consistent and will write you up over crazy things like commas.
Transcend now allows satellite ISP connections...sm
You can contact one of the recruiters for more information or apply on-line at http://www.transcendservices.com

Transolutions
I read the posting of the person who asked about them and also the remarks of other persons. I will tell you what I think of this company. First, they are the nicest people you would ever deal with. The original office staff remains and that in itself tells you something. If you get feedback, it isn't nasty or degrading like some other companies out there. Yes you have a fixed schedule, but being able to start an hour early or an hour late is wonderful, and I know that even when I was a new employee before, if I had something come up, I could contact the team leader and work out an exchange of shifts so that I could take care of whatever came up. They don't hover over you either. There have been some QA changes, but it is so important that reports be consistent and watched for errors. Continuous errors can make or break an account. The bonus program, I believe, is very generous and the benefits affordable. I priced insurance as an IC and no way could I afford it. I had to leave them a few years back due to illness in the family and they welcomed me back with open arms and I even received a phone call from an office person who remembered the situation and very kindly called me to say welcome back and ask about the former situation. With my previous company, I made insane amounts of money, but they could have cared less if I died sitting in my chair; that would have been an inconvenience. Sometimes there are things more important than money and #1 on my priority list is having NICE people in the main office, great coworkers, and a chance of advancement. I would say yes to anyone considering this company. I worked for a few of the other nationals, MQ included, and they didn't know me from Adam, just when I started my shift and when I was to quit. I like being more than just a sign-in number on an account.
Transolutions
Good pay, great bennies, very flexible. There's a troll who will undoubtedly come on to slam me - she always does when she sees my name alone or in association with Transolutions. Ignore her. She has nothing good to say about anyone. Good luck with whatever you do.
I like Transolutions
Everyone is different, and different companies fit our varying needs. I like Transolutions. Check it out for yourself and talk with the recruiters, current employees, etc. Get a feel for if they fit your needs. Their vacation, PTO, paid down time for full-time employees, etc. are pretty good. HTH.

Transolutions does.

Transolutions does!
And pay for your internet too!
Transolutions
hires new graduates if you can pass their test.
Transolutions does!
They have some accounts that use dial-up, although they are slowly moving toward an internet-based system. Give them a try. I know they are hiring and we have more than enough work. Never run out!!!

Transolutions
Is anyone currently working with Transolutions? I have been offered a job and would really like some info before starting on personal opinions! Thanks everyone!
It's Transolutions, as stated above.

Transolutions is a bad choice!!

Cymed or Transolutions?
Which would you rather work for and why? Appreciate both positive and negative feedback. Thanks.
Transolutions not so good...
Being on this board for many years, I have only seen about 4 or 5 people who have positive and the rest negative. I, myself, had a negative experience with them. I don't know anything about Transtech.
Quit Transolutions?
Has anyone quit Transolutions recently? I keep trying to hang in there but it is one thing after the other. I don't really want to go into details......just wondering if there is anyone else frustrated besides myself.
Quit Transolutions
Know exactly what you are talking about. Thinking the same thing actually. Bad communication and no consistency .
Yes, Transolutions does use Apex
:)
You must work for Transolutions. That's their

Thought I'd put my 2 cents in - I have been with Transolutions for about 4 months now, and I agree with the statements about how nice they are - they really are. I am working really hard to increase my production and get up to level 5, which is the higher pay. Dolfan, do you have any suggestions on that? You said you just stay there no matter what it takes - does that mean you just put in as much time as it takes to get that many lines in? Does it usually take you significantly over your scheduled time? I keep resolving to do that, but then I get tired and end up between level 2 and 3. I am still adding docs to my glossary on a daily basis, so I keep hoping that I will get there eventually.
I agree also about the benefits - I am part time (25 hours/week), but I am earning PTO, holiday pay, etc. When you do have to work a holiday, you get benefit pay, PLUS time and a half - I think that is fairly unusual for an MT company.
The scheduling is flexible, too. I worked for as an IC before, but I actually found that I needed a schedule or I would leave work too late and burn out. But, that is just me.
Hope that is informative, and Dolfan, thanks for any help in advance! (Or any other Transolutions people out there reading this, if you have any suggestions.)

Transolutions would be someplace I would stay away from..
I worked for them for a very short time. They were VERY friendly in the beginning and my scorese were 99-100% with no problems. I then had to take a couple days off and when I came back, they were rude, inconsiderate, and flat out lying to me. My scores suddenly went to 95% (I read these all over very carefully) and their attitude towards me changed drastically. I had heard that they were that way, "you have to fit in," but ignored it and took the job anyway..my mistake. There are few girls I have seen on here VERY happy with Transolutions, but I have spoken with MORE that are unhappy with them. Good luck in your decision.
I don't know anything about transolutions, interviewed, tested, and
offered position with Cymed. The pay is average, lots of ESL, offered 0.5 cpl more if I do more than 1800 lines a day, which I do occasionally, but not often enough that I would have a bunch of extra $$ each pay period. The person I interviewed with was an HR person and hadn't the first clue about transcription, so her answers weren't very good to questions. I did specifically ask if the offshore and she reluctantly said they do. I know they offshore to the Phillipines and probably India, and they are support of the move to offshore to Trinidad. I was offered 8 cpl and have 20 years' acute care experience. I was told there were lots or opportunities to earn big $$ in bonus money, but I'm not looking to be chained to my chair another 4 hours a day. My main decision for declining the position was the offshoring.
Transolutions has Medrite-they are hiring.
Lots of new openings.
what is your experience with Transolutions and Transtech
Do they keep their promises, primary account stability, start out at least 9 cpl, supervisors easy to get ahold of, etc.
I thought Transolutions was sooo fantastic, don't they have something to help you with that?

Softscript, Transolutions, Datakey, Medquist
Hi again,
It's decision time. Just wondering what people think of these companies and what their experience has been like working for them. Thanks.

Softscript, Transolutions, Datakey, Medquist
The Tampa Medquist office used to have a real hot payroll guy, named Shane, but I don't think that's the info you need. LOL,,,I am with Transcend. I like it.
I believe Transolutions pays all phone costs. nm

Aren't you the same person who posted above that you work for Transolutions and USED
to work for the company that does 7 days a week?
Good - Keystrokes, MDI-MD, Acusis, Silent Type. Bad - MQ, MDI-FL, Transolutions, Healthscribe. nm

Transcend
I've been there almost a year and I've never had a problem with bending my schedule by a couple of hours. They would like you to work the hours you committed to, but no one has ever said anything to me about starting earlier or later or ending my shift a little early. But, I make sure that my lines are adequate before I stop for the day. I have had a couple people tell me that they will get an email or a phone call about working their committed schedule, but it was mostly for people who are not producing enough.
Hope that helps!
No to Transcend
I tried to work for Transcend for 1 month (I also had 2 other jobs transcribing to see which co. I liked to stick with) anyways, I was put on 3 accounts, of which only 1 had work consistently and even that account ran out. And the work I received seemed cherry-picked as I had heavy ESL, which I have experience with, but need high volume to pay the bills! I decided that I would stop working for Transcend and see how long it took for them to realize I no longer was working. Well, about 1 1/2 months later I was still scheduled according to their website, and had received no contact regarding my absenteeism. Eventually, I received an e-mail about missing work. However, even after another 2 weeks, I was still on the schedule and receiving CEO emails, birthday cards, etc... I sent the computer back and am working for a company that knows my name. I figured I would have that experience with a national. At least the co. I'm with now mixes my work with moderately difficult dictators to easy line accounts to compensate. Good luck.
Transcend
Can anybody tell me if Transcend allows you to be "flexible" with the hours you work (meaning, are they very strict about keeping certain hours or are they more lenient about having a flexible schedule as long as you get your hours in)? Also, do they require you to work one day on the weekend on a regular basis? If so, do they give shift differential? Thanks for your replies in advance!
Transcend/Beyond TXT
I know that a lot has been said about the changes at Transcend and their platform for some accounts going to Beyond TXT. It is a VR/typing platform. It has received some negative publicity here on MT Stars. I just want to give another opinion of it for all those who might have or are considering a position with Transcend. I believe some of the posts may have scared some people off.
I have been working on the new platform now for a little while and I have to say that I absolutely love it. The platform has been designed specifically for MTs with many of our suggestions implemented into the making of it. It is quick and very easy to type on. The thing I love the most about it and the company is that they are consistently making changes to it. The changes are generated by emails from MTs who type on it, making suggestions to make it better and better for us. I have never worked for a company that goes to that length for us.
This is my experience at Transcend and I understand not everyone has the same experience. No need to start flaming me for my experience. Just wanted to give my side to the changes that are happening at this great company. And NO I am not management.
But if it is transcend, you will only get about 600
lines a day because of the system being down, overstaffing, and then they will pay you a whopping 60% of what you make because you only "edit."
Any OSI or Transcend MTs out there? (sm)
Have tested for both. Any pros and cons from either (or both) would be greatly appreciated. TIA..
OSI/Transcend...sm
No offense, but read the archives on these two companies...there's not much good about either. I worked for both, and if I HAD to go back to one or the other, OSi would be the lesser of the two evils.
Are you with Transcend?

looking into Transcend
Any info on them before I apply?
Transcend..OSI
Hey all...my husband recently lost his job, so I need to find more work. I'm looking into Transcend and OSI...what is your take on them? Thanks so much
Transcend!
Is anyone able to work??

Transcend/MDI-FL
Transcend bought MDI-FL.
Transcend has an ad out for
night MTs and VR editors for 12 to 15 per hour, but minimum requirement.
Transcend already has more than 80% of its
is doing the same. It isn't just radiology either, it's all work types. I think it's moving along faster than we expected, but it will never replace MT. It will just leave all the unintelligible dictation for the MT.
I am PT with Transcend and I was
told if I need to change my schedule, I must talk to my team leader about it. They need coverage on your committed hours. Otherwise, you need to talk to you team leader.
Are MDI and Transcend one and the same?
nm
Anyone doing VR for Transcend?
If so, is your work load consistent? I see they advertise nearly daily and I am curious about why they have so many openings.
