I had a "good" friend and neighbor who quit speaking to me because I explained I did not have time to "show" her how to be an MT. At the time I was self-employed, working 15-16 hours a day, going through a divorce and menopause, and was about as stressed as anyone can get. She did stop speaking to me thinking I would not help, when in fact I could not help. She commuted to a community college for 2 years at night (Delgado in New Orleans) to become an MT, determined to show me she could do it better, only to buy a transcriber when she graduated, get hired by Medquist and quit in less than 2 weeks - could not do it!! Go figure!
