To groom or not to groom

I have done some very limited part-time grooming.  It is hard work.  Do you have someplace besides your bathroom to bathe the dogs?  If not, be prepared to have to do a major cleaning of the bathroom at the end of the day.  Also, not all dogs appreciate being groomed, so be prepared to be snapped at.  You could limit the size dog you will do so you didn't have to do the big ones, which can be really messy and difficult.  YOu need a really good pair of clippers, expect to spend well over $100 for them, to say nothing of the different blades, which go easily for $30-$40 each.   You will need sturdy cages to put the dogs in.  You normally take all dogs in a.m. and cage them until you can get to them.  Then, if one gets too antsy, you can cage him for a break and work on a different one.  I think cleaning houses would be easier than dog grooming.  I have tried grooming and it is hard, dirty, sweaty work.
