Mine works for me and would not knock it if I were you.  I do bake cookies, I do get past the receptionist and I do get accounts that have stayed with me from 6 to 18 years now.  They do pay on time within 48 hours of receipt of invoice, never have questioned my line counts, they do give me Christmas bonuses (usually in excess of $500 per account), they do give me birthday cards and presents and invite me to their Christmas parties, office BBQ, lunches so if it took baking a dozen or so cookies to land the accounts that I have -- well worth it to me.  They do treat me with professionalism and with respect but we have gotten to know each other and are more than just a face and a voice -- they even know my name and say hi on their tapes.  Again whatever works for a person is great and I would not knock the person's approach to getting accounts.  No matter if it is a letter or a flyer if they are looking for a service you will be contacted.   I do not have to prove myself to be professional as I know that I am, it is evident by my longevity in this business with my own accounts.  I can wear jeans and take in cookies, or wear a back suit and carry  a leather briefcase, they could care less as long as the work is done, correct and back as promised and a little bit of personality and friendliness never hurts.   More times than  not, it is the office staff that makes or breaks an account.  But don't knock my cookies or my flyers as they have given me great accounts.     Did 425 lines in less than 45 minutes this morning with printing, cutting apart chart notes, etc.  So again, to each their own but I never knock another persons way of doing things when it seems to work for them -- I just offer my experience and what works for me.  Patti
