I left the transcription field for a couple of years, which was a very hard decision because I had been a transcriptionist since 1977. I preferred to work for a smaller transcription service, but at that time MQ was buying so many of them and I didn't want to be in the same situation again. So, I started a rubberstamp (to make greeting cards) business. I got that business off the ground, but really missed transcription. So, after a couple of years I started looking again. I worked for one service for a year, but it wasn't where I wanted to be for the rest of my transcription life. I finally found TransTech and have been employed by them for about 1-1/2 years and love it.
