You are upset becuase you had to do just 1 new account to help out? 

DO NOT EVER WORK FOR MEDQUIST!!!!

I do about 10 accounts a day and never hear the same doctor twice in a day.  Not that long ago, we were put in the national pool of work and there were some days that I had a different account for every single job I typed.

This is part of the job!  The account specifics do change for each account, but the transcription is still the same... it should not slow you down that much! 

Make yourself a quick cheat card for the account specifics:

Patient names: Not allowed

Dates: spell out (May 15, 2009)

Allergies:  ALL CAPS

Physical Exam:  Capitalize subheadings (CHEST:  Clear to auscultation..

If you only have to do this for 2 different accounts, it should be real easy to transition between the 2.

Please, "a friend" don't take this nonsense to heart.  I can not believe how petty some people are.  It just makes me sick to my stomach. 

Your post was very heartfelt and you gave "starting over" her first really valuable, usable information, and you should feel very good that you may have saved her or her children's lives. 

You are a wonderful, compassionate person and did not deserve that personal attack.  I think you are incredibly brave - both for what you went through and survived, and also reaching out to help someone else in spite of your own pain and that is incredibly selfless.

Please ignore trolls. Believe me, most of your MT sisters (and brothers) are proud of you!  You ROCK, Sistah!!

That MT30+ person got me once before also.  Mean, spiteful and cannot understand how the moderator has not shut her down.

She does have some valid points (this time) but just has to keep on force feeding everyone her darn opinion until it is so far down your throat it comes out the other end. 

To Appalled:   I am sorry that she feels the need to lift herself up in this manner instead of giving you some helpful ideas to deal with this situation that you are not familiar with.  Not all MTs with lots of experience treat others in this manner.  Whenever you see her posts.... duck and run.
