Helpful resource link....
I came across this. Looked like something that might come in handy. Lots of things on here. Thought I would pass it along. Have a Happy New Year!
Helpful resource link....
Thanks, have already bookmarked it....along with a million other sites. Hopefully I will figure out what is truly helpful and what isn't and then weed out the ones that aren't.

I've found this resource pretty useful for rehab work. Link inside.
Have this as one of my bookmarks - found this handy whilst handling rehab work. Hope this helps!

Snopes is a great resource for stuff like this . . sm
I'm always leary of hearing things like this, so my first stop is usually snopes.com. They list all sorts of urban myths and legends, as well as some true stuff that might surprise you. In response to this particular topic, nope, not true, false, don't think so, etc...
Thanks for this great link!

Here's a great chart at this link that should help - sm

If this is so great, why not post the link here.
after passing that exam and paying all of that money, people would want that list posted on the highest mountaintop!!!
I think it's great!!! Where did you get it? Can you email me a link or something?

Great link - a must read!
It pretty much answers all questions as to what is the norm for the industry.
This is the first time in my life I've made this much money - working 10 hour days, 5 days a week. I have no idea how long the opportunity to do it will continue, but I was really surprised to see how few pass the 40k mark, and now I know I'm extremely fortunate and should definitely not take it for granted.
Here are some great recipes in link attached.
Enjoy! (I hope I did this right)
Useful resource
Sharing this useful search engine for MTs that I came across on MT Mastery. See link below named "search engine for mts."
If that is the same resource you
then it is no longer free. They probably only offered it for free to work the bugs out of the program.
If it was not what you were looking for, then you might look around their site and see what you can find.
transcription resource
just a thought
Handy resource
A pretty handy tool to have.
Op Note CD Resource?
I have recently begun transcribing a lot of operative note. I currently use The Surgical Word Book by Claudia Tessier as a reference. It is rather cumbersome to keep going through the book. I was wondering if anyone knows of a CD reference for surgical terms? It would be so much easier!
You are welcome. It is my best resource for any support or technical help.

Need psych testing resource
I'm looking for a website(s) that has information on various tests used in psychological evaluations. Mostly I just need the names of the tests for reference. Any info is appreciated!
good resource site?
We used to have two people type radiology, but it is going to now be put in the general report pool. I have one book from stedmans, but am kind of nervous. Do you have any good websites?
Here's another good resource for op samples
Lots of useful samples in there.

While the internet is a good resource, I
also have reference books. Stedman's Medical and Surgical Equipment Word Book that I cannot live without. For drugs, rxlist.com and http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cder/drugsatfda/index.cfm?fuseaction=Search.Search_Drug_Name are both good. Also, mt911.com has multiple resource sites for sample reports, abbreviations, drug searches, etc.
Also, if you are doing 1 specific speciality, the Stedman's book for that speciality is a good resource. For example, I do some ophthalmology and am not familiar with that, so I have the speciality for that. Sometimes it is just easier to have a book where you can pull up the specific thing you are looking for; i.e., the listing "catheter" brings up pages of catheters. THis is much easier for me than guessing at a spelling on the internet and coming up with literally hundreds of choices.
a good resource can be found on the internet
You can go to the labor sites for various states and it will give you some, if not not all, of the information you seek. If it doesn't, it can give you phone numbers to investigate further.
I simply chose the wrong link. See inside for the correct link.

Personal page/web page resource
Paula,
Thanks a lot for sharing these great websites!
Saw him on CMT show with John Fogarty. Great, great singer with a neat personality and drop dead
gorgeous without seeming to know it.
Great post. I swear by both Advantage and Frontline Plus-- both work great! - sm
I don't know about "natural" approaches for the house. I have always used flea bombs in the past before the miracle of Advantage and Frontline changed my life. Have not had a flea problem at all since I began using those products about 10 years ago, dose all the dogs religiously once a month with the Frontline Plus except in Dec.-Feb. to save a few bucks and because the ground is generally frozen by then and no fleas are scurring about. -- Hope you get flea free soon.
I think you forgot the link? I don't see a link
to check this out....sounds interesting.....
Thanks to all. Got some great feedback and ecouragement. This board is great.
My rant passed, ate a late lunch, now back to the trenches.
GREAT GREAT SHOW! I still think Ellen Pompeo
should have gotten the Emmy/Golden Globe whatever it was for the show. I like Sandra Ho, her character just needs more depth... Next week looks AWESOME!! Maybe there is still a chance for McDreamy!! First season DVD coming out with deleted scenes! Can't wait to get it & watch it!!
It is a GREAT company and great deal! I've had
Vonage about 6 months now and I love it. The only mistake I made was trying to keep my original phone # - I wouldn't recommend that. You have a temp # for a while, and the other provider can fight for the old #, etc. Go to vonage. com. They have new features all the time! There is even a new soft phone that is a phone on your screen. You don't need a real phone when working - just headset. It has 800 #s you can have very inexpensively - great voice mail. You get emails when you have new messages, etc. I only wish I had used them a year ago! Nothing but good things to say, and I complain about everything!
Sounds like he will do great then. Again, best wishes for great success!

That's great Patti. Thanks. Have a great time at the beach.

You should feel great as a transcriptionist if they think your work is that great!!!
It is not your fault they approached you. I think it would be a different storey if you were the one searching for the job to take away from a company. They obviously want to get rid of the company and if you didn't take the job they would probably ask someone else. You should enjoy the better position and not feel guilty!!
Great post -great job of wording your answer! (sm)
Original poster - I completely agree with this answer, especially the part about finding yourself and using all that you have learned intellectually and connecting that to something that you will also enjoy with your heart!! You have so many wonderful options for your future - much more than many of us.
IT - great program, great support system. nm

No link, but sm
if you have DQS, then you have DQManage...I have an icon on my desktop, and like the other poster said, while working in DQS, just hit F9-I have to be transcribing a document, and it brings up DQManage...from there, click on statistics, on the left hand side, then just go from there...I hope this helps!
