MTs who grab work off the weekend work load even though they are scheduled Monday through Friday. You see, I am scheduled to work the weekend and MUST sit here for 8 or more hours a day (4 hr turn around for radiology). When this person comes in a grabs up my work, I end up sitting idle so he can have additional income.
This is the most thoughtless thing I can imagine in the work force when production is how our pay is based. An MT who would do this should be reprimanded by management yet for some reason, he is not. He signs on and off at will though his schedule is a 40 hour week.
Moral suffers management when this occurs. We other MTs who DO follow our schedule have no choice but to go into other people's schedules to grab some of THEIR work. Then, we end up working 10 hour shifts which means we have to work off the clock (breaking another rule).
Why not insist everyone work their schedule and follow the rules.
I have already let my supervisor know. I do not know why they think this MT is so special that this can be overlooked. I am not going to sit here with knots in my stomach every Sunday for the next five years because this particular MT thinks his family's income is more important than my family's income.
Thanks for the space to vent this. And if you area reading this, greedy MT, know that I will eventually be popping up on your shift and then it will be a free for all. The only other choice is to lower my cost of living on your behalf and I just do NOT see that happening.

What burns me up is......
when I used to stand in line to buy diapers and formula and baby food for our 2 little ones, back when we didn't make nearly as much as we do now, and seeing a woman in front of me with a cell phone on her hip, beautiful manicured nails, and a nicer outfit that I was wearing standing there buying food with WIC coupons and food stamps. There's something wrong with MANY of the "pictures" out there. There are those who work and pay for their responsibilities, and then there are those who expect others to do it for them.
You might try Silvadene for those burns. :)

Noooooo! Don't!!! It burns so badly you will wish it had been where it was before! SM
I had the same thing happen to me. Called my doctor and he said well put it up front, same tissue. YOIKS!! I called him from my seat in a cold-water bath and told him to mark that suggestion out of his book.
Just moved out of a rental. This just burns me up..
We just bought a house and moved out of a renal townhome that is owned by a huge property management company. I always always go the extra mile to make sure I leave a place clean, way more than a lot of people. I spent hours cleaning and we didn't leave a single speck of anything in that house. The carpets were immaculate because we had plastic runns in the high traffic areas, etc. I scrubbed baseboards, window sills, floors, painted over all the scratches and nail holes (same paint), everything. Got our refund yesterday on the deposit and they charged us for ELEVEN HOURS of cleaning. In the description they said that this that and the other thing was VERY dirty, counter tops being one thing. I swear I scoured the counters with cleanser not long before I finished the job. I find it very offensive to have all these things listed as VERY dirty. They're full of you know what. Do you think it's just a racket to ding you for more money? They also charged us 160 dollars to shampoo those perfectly clean carpets. It seems like cleaning that is not beyond the usual amount should be THEIR responsibility as part of the business of renting out their units. They just want to pass on everything including routine maintenence onto their tenants. Just had to vent.
It is because the body burns fat instead of glycogen for energy. sm
Without carbs, there is no insulin spike to store fat as fat in the body, so it goes through it or is burned as energy. The body preferentially burns fat stores since there is no glycogen to burn because there is no consumption of carbs.
