I would, first of all, be glad and i really mean that if they took money you thought you would be getting and applied that towards something you owe them already. They have come to my home before, in previous marriage they had me working in our home business when I had 2 jobs going at once, 5-2 and 5-10 so that did not leave enough time for me to work others- to make long story short they then wanted $14,000.00 from me- settled that without my owing anything. I am almost afraid to spend money now- got $$$$ from my father and afraid if spent then they would be there again! Your story is bad- but your husband needs to get off his a.... and do something- it is definitely not fair for him to be on his swoon couch and you taking all that heat. They can go after any and all you have- the levy- well I either had that threatened or might have had done before but that is no big thing- unless you try to refinance or sell- other than that small item you can work off when you get this other crap out of the way. I probably would not let vehicle be put in my name, too iffy about that- they might want another vehicle. I sat up payments one time from an extra 27,000.00 I got from previous job as retirement- took in lump and then I got my lumps- had to pay extra 300+ for 3 years- not good. I hope you will get this figured out..
