Virginia officials are stating they have several bases that can be opened for the immediate shelter of Katrina victims, also.

Texas has been wonderful by offering bases, schools, hotels. (Go, Texas!)

Not much comment on the N.O. Mayor. N.O. would not be in this predicament had those levees been repaired/replaced, even with Katrina. I think that would have been his job to oversee?

My money has gone and especially my prayers go out to all of these folks down there!
