Don't know of one company that isn't. Where do they find these people that can do what they do and sleep at night. It is beyond me. They have killed this field for us. May they all get it in the end.

Do you experience the, "No response" from your management, especially when you asked direct questions like, "Where are you shipping our work". So professional in all aspects, don't you think. So American, for that matter.

Right on - those crooks know EXACTLY what they're
Maybe if we keep contacting the country's leaders & lawmakers, as well as newspapers, investigative TV shows, etc., we can get the word out instead of it being such a well-kept secret. It might pay to contact union leaders or organizers to see what their take is on the situation, and what they would suggest someone in our shoes do next. Currently there are just too many sneaky ways for MT employers to skirt around the issue that, in a nutshell, MTs all over this country are working far in excess of 8 hours per day just to keep up to their minimum line counts. And often they're not getting paid for the extra hours required to reach those counts. So when all the number-crunching is done, they're working for below government-mandated minimum wage, and they're not being paid for their overtime. AHDI knows about this. They endorse the practice. And the MTSOs are getting away with it because few people outside of our industry know it's going on. That needs to change.

AAMT/AHDI - Crooks, that is what they are!
I am one of the oldtimers who took the MT certification test in 1983. It only cost $75.00 back then. I had such high hopes that this industry was going to be a wonderful career move. But AAMT, now AHDI got GREEDY and tried to suck as much money as possible out of their MTs and never stood up for us. Money is all they cared about. And YES, the board members do receive a substantial salary. Who do you think is paying their salaries? Anyone who is idiotic enough to become a member. They lure in the newly graduated transcriptionists with their lies. I have been a Transcriptionist since 1980, and I have NEVER been without work. I only wish that I had not remained a member for 13 years. I regret that immensely. That money would have been better off in my pockets. I think they definitely be investigated and persecuted for their deceitfulness. They never intended to help the MT. They are a scam organization and only interested in stealing our lowly income. I hope they rot for their sins!
