The problem I have with that is...SM

Now granted, I'm an employee and not an IC, but my employer says that I can't drink while working.  Every employer I've ever had has had the same policy.   I can't help but wonder what your employer would say if asked?

Yeah, yeah - "how would they know."  I would know that I was doing something wrong, and that would bug me.  The other examples you mentioned don't have the capability to affect my work.
