advertised all over the country. I don't see her making that kind of money as a home-based MT, but she would not have travel expenses, etc. Good luck.

jobs on seeker board
I am wondering, are most of the jobs at http://forum.mtstars.com/seeker/ for at-home positions? As opposed to working on site?
Thanks.
They must, just saw an ad on the job seeker board for it, but
its too bad they don't offer their current employees an opportunity to learn it, or at least announce the job internally if someone is interested. This is the WORST company for any kind of promotion and absolutely no communication with its employees. Once you are put on a platform or on an account you will die there cuz they won't let you move. Team leaders suck, too.
Job Seeker's Board.....
Radiologist Transcriptionist Needed. Thanks.
They have an ad on the Job Seeker's Board here. sm
just look to the left of your screen towards the top and click on "job seeker's board". Scroll down and you will see an ad for WMX ER work. Good company, good bennies, good people, been with them 5 years.
Ignore the grumpies. I don't like the search function here either. To get more current stuff you can click on the "related" link in blue on each message or go to the top of the last few current pages of the Main board or the Company board. Do Ctrl + F to bring up the search box . Good luck.
There are some on the Job seeker's board sm
but many are old and quite a few are base in India
There are some on the job seeker board.
I just went up from MT to QA about 3 yrs ago.
That is the red note on the job seeker's board.

the ortho emphysis?
Check out Job Seeker's Board
Sheri...does that mean that the job seeker's board will have sm...
companies posting jobs that off-shore transcription? I am trying to find an office that does not off shore due to the difficulty of the reports left over for the US MT, so I need to be careful if that is the case. Thank you!
should have read except on job seeker board
except solicitations on Job Seeker boards here for MT/coding etc.
Job seeker's board question please
What happened to all the jobs in the "job bank"? There's only one in there.
Also if you open the adds up and click on "for information" it goes to the info for that one companythat has the add, not even the right company.
Is this normal pay? On Job Seeker's board (sm)
They are looking for an Ortho QA Editor and after training they are paying $11.50 an hour? $11.50 an hour? $11.50 an hour? Why not just work in fast food?
I believe they are posted on "Job Seeker's Board"

CHS Acct Mgr posting on job seeker's board
I have a sneaking suspicion that this is Ascend. If anyone finds out what company this is, please let us know!
There's a link to post resumes on the Job Seeker's board. nm

I agree, you need to a lot of research. I would start with the job seeker's board and see who S
is advertising and research the companies that seem to have the best to offer and find out if they truly are the ones with the best to offer. In this business, there are a lot more considerations when looking for a job than just cents per line.
Good Luck!
Post about Companys on the Company board, post job ads on the Job Seeker board

local jobs
someone mentioned that younger docs like the electronic way of sending the transcripts. I have 9 years experience as a MT but this is all new to me if I was to do this with local docs. Is there a way to have them sent to you electronically or would they all be a pick up a tape and deliver process? If it is a tape is there a better device than another to do this? Thanks to all in advance.
local jobs at home
i have been thinking of getting small local jobs. do the docs normally want to give you a test beforehand so they see how you do plus you get to hear how they sound ?
Keep applying at jobs is my opinion. Find out where your local hospital transcription is done

I look at the jobs board too...
just because I am bored. The sad thing is the number of jobs seems to have decreased and it seems to be the same rotten places advertising for MTs over and over. Most of these I have already been hired by and can understand why they have to keep a permanent job posting here ... they just plain suck! If you are actually looking for a job, are an MT with some experience and willing to put up with a lot of crap you can probably get hired by one of these places as most have to hire 100 MTs to find one who will stay! Good luck!
Jobs Board
Just saw Etrans hiring for Atlanta, Birmingham, Columbia, Charleston
on the job board.
When applying for jobs on board
I am back in the "look for another job" phase of my life which I thought had ended. After several years, I am back in the market though and have responded to ads posted on this message board.
Do you ladies and gentlemen typically include a cover letter stating you situation and stats, equipment, etc?
And, with regard to equipment, if we do not have what is requested but are fully willing and able to purchase it to be able to work for the job being applied for, should we state this? It appears that jobs posted are asking for specific equipment and that is not a problem other than getting it shipped to us. Unless they want us to hit the ground running these days.
Thank you for your time, comrades in arms.
Focus Infomatics has another ad on the jobs board
again
The Job Seekers board shows jobs that are available. You can
post your resume securely in the Resume Bank. If you do not want to give a lot of detailed information, you can post with the name Available MT or something of that nature and in the body give a brief description of your experience. When you enter your email address it is not visible to potential employers, but they can send you an email. Only when you reply will they know your email address. It's a great way to put yourself out there without COMPLETELY putting yourself out there. If an employer is looking for someone with your skills and experience, they will contact you. Good Luck!
Try this....I found it in the Jobs board, but it is from June.

I am a medical Transcriptionist who has over 15 years of experience and also have taught medical transcription and provided quality evaluations for graduating students at the college level. I am in the process of revamping my medical transcription business and have a spot for two either graduates or soon to be graduates to intern.
The internship will be paid at a starting rate of 0.06 cpl (65 char with spaces) while in training and then will go to 0.07 cpl. This is an wonderful opportunity to gain much needed experience as well as allowing you the opportunity to work from home.
Just reply by email if you are interested and tell me a bit about yourself for consideration. You will need a USB foot pedal and either cable or DSL. Also need to have a medical spellchecker and a willingness to learn and retain.
Please specify hours (times) and days available in your response.
Good luck to you.
There's a board specifically for these types of jobs
Call centers and different types of phone work. From what I've seen, if you have a quiet environment and flexibility this is a good job to make extra money.
(Actually, Company-Board isn't that great a place to look for jobs -
No mssg.
Search on the Companies or New Student board for course info. Jobs are available all over the US and
.
Did you try Chronicle Transcripts on the jobs board? Or go to mtjobs.com. Lots of CA companies. nm

Buy local. The local stores pay taxes to support your city and state. (SM)
Using online and catalogues does nothing to promote the local economy. We complain about outsourcing and about the big companies gobbling up all the work so the jobs at local hospitals are gone, yet we do the same thing when we buy on ebay, catalog, and these web sites that may be located any place in the world as their primary business location.
I went local. Great local tech support, they know what I do and were able to set it up just for me

ER work seeker
I am seeking IC status also typing ERs.
Seems like since I've switched to DQS, production has gone down. Not able to use normals like before on Word... it's frustrating.
Thanks!

If you look under job seeker's on the left
lots of posts. Don't know why you need a job bank AND those posts.
Keystrokes has an ad on the job seeker's
board. It pays 8 cpl. You should check it out. I'm not sure if they do voice recognition, but if you can avoid those companies that do, you'll make better wages on straight transcription. Just send your resume to some of the companies that are advertising and see what pans out. Decide a rate for yourself and don't accept anything lower than that. Decide if you want employee status or IC/statutory.
so true, but she could post on Job Seeker's
Board for a job not yet really available like some MTSOs do, and then give you the runaround when nothing is available. It's happened to me a couple times, now I'm suspicious about that.
I must be a bitter MT..Check out the ad on job seeker's
Obviously Indian-based, but they want to train you to be an MT..check this part out..
Transcription is fun for the right person as it allows you to write and if you love to write, then it is an enjoyable career. Some people who do not like writing because they are not creative still enjoy this medical online profession. Even people who hate writing like this profession because it allows for working at home on a flexible schedule.
OKAY.. what planet are they from..Since when is transcription fun LOL...and I'm sure glad it lets me write whatever I want, because I just love to write..LOL and I get to use my creative ability also to write whatever I like. People who hate MT-ing just do because they hate to write and are not creative LOL. I'm sorry but this just cracked me up. I've thought a lot of things about transcription but FUN was never one of them. Lucky for me though, even though I don't like it, I get to stay at home and have a really flexible schedule..NOT.. lol...
5000 lines per day on job seeker's ...
You gotta be kidding, some say it was on before and required more than one person but why submit it as if it were a "job" offered to one? Perhaps I am "slow."
Search the Job Seeker's and Company boards. Also mtjobs.com...nm

supposed to be, after people lose their jobs, they are forced to take part-time, lower-paying jobs..
with little to no benefits. service jobs. where are you going to work in a few years, when Medical Transcription is replaced by technology? McDonald's, Walmart? you really going to like that?

I did 3 jobs for a while about 3 years ago, you burn out quick, I was doing 3 MT jobs though...after
10 months I cut down to 2 as I don't like to have all my eggs in one basket. But I am considering going down to 1 in September for my sanity, its a good steady job so financally it should not be an issue. I have 2 right but have not worked the 1 in about 3 weeks due to some problems at their end, supposed to learn a VA account but not sure if I want to pursue it right now or not, they are waiting to hear from me at this point. I still have a lot going on with chemo, etc. so am mulling things over. But if you have a full-time day job, then I would just go with 1 part-time MT job at night, unless 1 is during the week, and the other weekends only, then of course you will be working 7 days a week, very tiring I know. I have been working 7 days a week for 3 years now but I do slack off now and then of course to recharge and get sleep etc. But burnout happens fast and I doubt you want to lose your day job so be careful. Good luck.
Two jobs very common, 3 jobs not unheard of.

Yup! Not only short jobs, but also jobs from
extremely difficult dictators, bad sound files, jobs that need lots of ADT info added, and anything else that is not "easy" to do. I also questioned them about this and was told the same - they do not allow cherrypicking. Definitely not true!
And its gonna kill you to post on the Company board rather than the main board?
