If you do not like a particular thread, skip over it. If you want to voice your disagreement or discuss it, etc., then do so respectfully.
If we begin removing threads simply because some are unhappy with the subject matter, then I guarantee that sooner or later your particular subject matter will be the next target.
Everyone has a right to post here within posting guidelines. Simply skip over the threads that are of no interest to you. Granted, many controversial subjects are posted sometimes and if it is too sensitive of an issue for you, just don't read.
No one is required to read any or every post, nor reply to any or every post. Use good judgement for your postings.

Unfortunately, we can't please everyone although we try. We run Active X controls
and a few cannot see the left column and we have offered a number of ways to get the left menu to appear. Beyond that, we are unable to help. Administrator

Should have mentioned in initial post that I have deleted, redownloaded the new EP, and when that didn't work, tried an older version - no luck. Even the older version is playing just my .dvf files fast. I think there's a gremlin in my system trying to drive me crazy.

It was active just a few days ago.
When this whole bruha-ha started, I Googled the name as well. The site was up and working, carrying a glowing endorsement from EMDAT as well. Guess the owner decided to take it all down.

I am have done medical transcription for 25 years -- and frankly I thorougly DISGUSTED with the "ME AND ONLY ME ATTIUDE" on this board -- POOR babies in California whine cause they cant make a living -- know what? change your life -- I have managed to stay off this board work a life and help a fellow MT out who is trying to help other MTs wity Katrina -- I live in Vegas and we have had 1000 evacuess come in -- my first grandbaby is due tomorrow -- I cant be there and I am NOT pissing and moaninng -- MAYBE what we REALLY need to think about is what this country was based upon -- my family goes back to the Revoution on one side -- my mothers family goes back to great uncle who said "Go West Young Man" -- I wear the last name of one of the first men who stepped on the moon -- you know what? NONE of these men said "get your toys" - I dont post but when I see NOTHING BUT me -- its upsetting -- you put the mortgages on at the tune of $100,000 plus "oh I can work at home and have babies and work when I want" -- well with the price of gas etc and the economy going in the toliet -- good luck!!!

It's like a word Expander for "the rest of" your computer. I use it to automate repetitive Windows- or Word-based tasks that would otherwise take a lot of Keystrokes or mouse clicks.
I create shortcuts so that I can type just a few keystrokes to perform any of the more tedious administrative parts of my work.
For example, typing "sendlog" will, for me, automatically create an e-mail message that sends my line count log for the day where it needs to go.
It's really hard to explain, so I hope you don't mind if I just refer you to the web site.

They generally are very active dogs who can develop
behavior problems. Please do a Google search. He should be excercised daily. Again, please do a google search and learn as much as you can. Talk to breeders, trainers, etc. In the long run you (and he) will be much better off if you take the time now to research and spend the necessary money to learn training techniques. You might find that it boils down to daily long, structured walks and then play. You will do great! Good luck!
Could you tell me what the active inflammatory lymph nodes mean?
I had a CT abdomen and pelvis last year because I was having pain from Crohn's disease. I have swollen lymph nodes then. I had no other symptoms as in no other lymph nodes that were enlarged, etc. So they did a followup CT a year later, which happened to have been this week. I haven't gotten the results yet. I'm wondering what your active inflammatory lymph nodes mean? Is it normal for some to be enlarged consistently?

If you are talking about President Obama's stance, action, statements concerning offshoring - it is political. It goes on the Politics board.
If you are talking about healthcare industries and what Congress, the Senate, the GOP or other leaders are doing or not doing about - it is political. It goes on the Politics board.

When I worked for a national, up thru 2 years ago, I was getting $1.75 page and heard they got $4.
Let me be clear, keywords are NOT just services, there are many keywords on a variety of topics.

This last summer we took a driving trip and were set to stop in Page, AZ for one night... Ended up there for an extra night because of car trouble and we loved it -- the entire Page/Lake Powell area is gorgeous and we are planning a trip back asap -- I'm jealous!!

But I would never pay to download music - and I don't think the Beatles are upset about lost revenues!

I actually work for a service by page and actually I do pretty well and feel almost better than a per line rate. I wonder if 60 lines is a combination of both text and blank lines?

I get paid gross line and from top to bottom of the page. My rate is lower which is what the docs like and on chart notes just take the line count for word. Kind of like your two lines on a page you get the page. One word on the line, I get the line. Also with my clinic notes, there is just one blank in between patients but I do get that line. Of course I cut apart the notes for the clinic so that kind of pays it. I also make good money and can't complain.

You need to turn it around so the doctor feels he is "saving money" by being charged by the line and therefore for only the part of the page that is completed. Tell him that if you charge by 1/4 of the page anything over 10 lines would be a mininum of $1.50 - 2.00 and so he would be paying for part of the page that would not be filled up. The same applies if he were to go only 1 line past the 1/2 page mark and thus pay for the entire page. So make it seem more economical for him. Also make sure that you figure your line charge out in the font you want to type in and if he wants a smaller, convert it over to charge out. As long as they know that a gross line -- which is what I charge -- consists of how many characters in the Courier 12 font in, you are not cheating. But show him how it would be beneficial for him to do the line charge and don't go with an attitude of "my way" show him you are looking out for him. I would probably start out around 12 cpl per gross line as you will probably get a lot of standards that you can set up, etc. So if work up to 200 to 300 lines per hour that is very good pay.
