That shoe fits a lot of 'em. MQ, MDI/Transcend, the old Edix.

wear it. I think she's absolutely right. Doctors and hospitals figure if they're going to pay for crap, they might as well pay for cheap crap and send it overseas. It's amazing how lazy and sloppy some American MTs are. I have even seen some "team leaders" and "MT supervisors" type crap like 38 cms, and I've seen companies refer to HIPPA instead of HIPAA.
I personally know an MT who thinks she is one of the best MTs there is, and she has no clue when to use "their," "there," or "they're." She mixes up tetanus and tinnitus. It's disgraceful.
LOL! You calls 'em as you sees 'em, girl!

Love 'em or leave 'em
I don't have a real solution, but I have been known to log off of that account whenever I see this happen. I then try to find work on one of the other accounts to which I am assigned, but there is often no other work available. I conclude that the only choice is love 'em or leave 'em. A private client might be nice, but that brings other headaches.
If U can't beat 'em join 'em
This is NOT the only industry that outsources and you are fooling yourselves if you think that it will stop.
don't forget the shoe

shoe on other foot
Would any of you want to be forgiven if you cheated on him? They say almost as many women are cheating these days as men, according to Dr. Phil and Oprah. Even with all the troubles that we had in our marriage and the straw that broke the camel's back was the cheating, I could never bring myself to even consider cheating but everyone is different. I don't condemn or condone women who forgive their husbands and know that every situatioan is different and until you are in that situation/shoes it is hard for you to say what you will do. You always say a big "NO, never" but when you are presented with the situation it is amazing how many times that changes.
I was with Spheris back when it was Edix...
I was with Edix about a year before I was audited and had pay deducted, and then two more times in a row after that. Needless to say, after several anxiety attacks over my pay check, I quit. I dont know if they still audit, but that whole process is questionable. At least when they audit, they should call up the MT, go over it WITH them, so its not such a big shocker when they receive the report back with a bunch of red markings. I actually broke down and cried.
Another thing is we changed management around that time, and my new supervisor called me to inform me I was two hours late and why hadn't I started work yet? I reminded her of our two hour difference in time zones, and told her I was just getting ready to work.
With Medquist, no one picks at me, BUT no one gives me info when I need it. I make about 800 dollars more a month at MQ and I don't have a panic attack when I send a report out in cyber space, maybe forgetting if I dotted an "I" correctly or not.
MQ the lesser of the two evils for sure. Although I'm not with Spheris now and do not know if they still audit. All I know is it was an awful experience, more comfortable at MQ.
Memories...EDiX did that to my hospital. SM
My family came upon some very hard times when I went with EDiX, but that's not to say Spheris is the same way.
Don't count on your line count being the same. It sure wasn't when I transitioned.
Funny. Shoe's on the other foot, here. And I just SM
can't bring myself to even look at another man. Been nearly two years. Ah well, I like myself pretty well!
Went through that exact same thing with EDiX. They sent that stuff overseas in a heartbeat, and the
nm
outsource overseas...and QA and managers "above" MT, period. It was parallel to the old EdiX
too bad, because they used to be awesome, then lost of lot of people skills and adopted the edix mentality...
I hold no grudges, just giving you my own opinion, my own experience. I moved on and am in a better place...
ROFL - you are worse than mud on my shoe. Shelly Hendrix is one of the NICEST and KINDEST posters on
on this miserable forum. He is always willing to lend a hand, help out with a problem, or just plain old encouragement. He's a hard worker for more than 1 company, and he gives focused intelligent summations of these companies. You are a disgrace of an MT to make fun of him here, ROFLOL. Go ahead and flame me back - you won't bother me at all, but you KNOW in your heart what a creep you are. You can hide from all of us, but not from your own soul. For shame.
there ya go, that fits. NM

That fits perfectly
you go girl!!
Thanks much,
D
Virgo...and fits me to a "T".

My cat is 13 pounds and she just fits in the....
Sounds like a 27 pound cat might be too big for the litter boxes with the covered housing/top. My cat just fits into this regular sized one. Suggest you either get a bigger litter box system or have one built. A 27 pound cat is a HUGE (loveable) cat who needs above-normal sized cat box.
Just my 3 cents as a CAT LOVER!!! *S*
So the aka name fits perfectly!

it fits the bill for me! i'm frugal too :)

TransHealth fits this category. nm
Ok, there are only a few boards now, so if what you are posting fits into
one of the boards to the left, post it there, otherwise your post will be deleted. We're not going to lock posts anymore, we're just going to delete them. This should be no major undertaking. Have a word question, post it on the Word board...have a question about a Company, post it on the Company board, etc.
Thanks! It is nice to finally find something that fits! :) nm

Virgo, fits me like a glove. I used to work in - sm
used to work in court reporting & the overwhelming majority there were Virgo and Scorpio. I'll bet MT is the same way.
My sister and her husband, who are both graphic designers, are Libra, as is their little girl. When sister started a new job they asked her what sign she was, she said Libra, and so was almost EVERY person in the office!
Sagittarius (everything fits except the outdoorsy part)
you proofread all business letters you receive in the mail and have fits over the errors! LOL (nm)
For arthritis/cold weather, I use cheap, thin, one-size-fits-all
grocery-store gloves, and just cut the fingertips out. Warm & comfy. And cheap.
Only 2 in 13 years for me. First Edix for 8 and now Webmedx for nearly 5 years. nm

Isn't that what causes 'em to sag?
:+
don't let 'em get to you, KB
As we teach our children, ignore it.
you tell 'em
Can you hear me clapping at this end and yelling BRAVO!!! Right on!!!
Has anyone ever died from doing hanging indents? I may be the first. LET ME DO WHAT I NEED TO DO MICROSOFT!!!!! (yes, I'm yelling).
Cut 'em off???
x
stump 'em
I'll never forget my first day of college when the instructor wrote on the chalkboard -- panhysterosalpingooophorectomy and said "You will know what this means by the end of the day!" This is an easy one for us now, but back then it was like "Yeah, right." This is one of my husband's favorite words to throw at people at parties, etc. -- and he even knows the correct meaning of the term!! I hate when people say stuff like "Where can I find a job like yours, typing at home, I could do that no problem." They think that if they can type, they can do our jobs. I'd like to see 'em try.....heeheehee
CAN'T SHOOT 'EM....LOL.....NM

Sure looks to me like they are in India, in some shape or form....I hope this helps you....good luck, and let us know how it goes.
Tell 'em sister....
Do you see how fast the haters come here to say "big deal." Any one of us can have our own accounts (I have 2 of my own). I make the same as you round about $50.00 an hour. What a relief because I also IC for an online company making 8 cpl (round about $20.00 an hour). We can't sit around and complain; that accomplishes nothing.
BTW, I think 5 cpl for VR is good... In case anyone cares what I think! I just think it would be hard for me to learn the hot keys to make it go faster, but then again maybe I'd be quicker at it (20+ years in the biz).
Just let them drink their Hatorade and be haters all their lives!!!!
VR funnies - 3 of 'em
Cardiolite stress test which was negative for reversible skin.
HIDA scan negative for cystic duct or common bile duct obstruction with normal feeding of the gallbladder.
Ultrasound of the abdomen demonstrated a fatty liver but no evidence of a dietitian.
It's worth it...Git 'em!
I had one customer who tried to stiff me for some work I performed. I had all the paperwork in order, all the ducks lined up, etc. It was a amount somewhere near $1400.
I didn't go the SCC route at all. I filed a lien against the woman's home for the amount owed, the filing costs, and >>monthly late charges<< that had accrued up to the point of the filing of the lien. Then I waited for about 17 months or so.
When she found out that she couldn't sell her property until the lien was settled, SHE got in contact with me. She "offered" me her personal check (nyet) to settle the debt, but with her track record, I refused and would only take cash at that point in time.
She hemmed and hawed and tried to con me again, but I didn't budge, and the lien stayed put. She finally ponied up the cash, because she had to sell the house, and it couldn't be sold until the lien was satisfied.
I did lose in that deal, however. I forgot about the lien removal filing fee, so I was out $35, but I recovered the majority of the money owed.
You may just want to check out your state's lien laws.
Kathleen
You tell 'em girl!
stay off the porch! Life is what you make it! Only you can make it happen, not the President, not the Pope, and certainly not working for a national. Some say they make boatloads off of a national, but they are hard workers that love to stay chained to the desk with no kids, (as I've seen posted) and no LIFE! Get a grip people! If this gal is thriving, let her thrive. Why call her out for that? Why? She should be able to voice her opinion, and no I am not the poster above, I am a different poster before anyone even starts with that!
Good golly for you Miss Molly - you hit paydirt! Some of us love this profession enough to make it work, and yes ma'am I've gotten my fair share and then some! I am living the good life!
Give 'em the Beatles!
ALL little kids love 'em (seriously!). Give John, Paul, George & Ringo a try!
I love 'em too. I can dream, can't I?
If you hate 'em, verbatim!
xx
Oh yeah!!!!!! Keep 'em comin'!!!!!! nm

Gosh, I wish I loved OP, just can't do 'em
/
or just go in and be so obnoxious about "hang 'em all" that
no one WANTS you on their jury! But don't get smart on the jury form. A guy in Florida got contempt in court and spent the night in jail along with a fine for writing on his jury form that he had been a mail bomber, etc.

Yeah, right. You go change 'em. LOL
:)
I so agree - ESLs once ya get 'em ya really
I happen to be very_good w/accents, also living in a very diverse area (and let's not forget, being an MT am we are also supposed to be excellent listeners)
what I think the OP doesn't get is ALL LANGUAGE commences in the heart - we are all the same - just *hearing* different words for much of what we all talk about on a daily level.....they say the similar things about similar issues ongoing in the world, and, instead of getting ALL freaked out when one *hears* an accent, my suggestion (unsolicited as it is) would be to try to become a better listener.
To the OP, about your hypothetical blurb telling them to *go back to their countries*...guess what? Your relatives came from elsewhere, unless you're native American....and somehow I doubt that you are;
Would you have liked your ancestors to be told similar, holding that same exact thought as you, about they should all go back to their own countries? hmmmmm?
Time to open the brains nice and wide to things that are different but ongoing all over the world 24/7/365....better late than never...I have some great ESL dictators and some not so great, but first and foremost have AMERICAN ANGLO mushmouths who just care less for the most part.....
Have a nice evening....
You gotta love 'em
I had a CNP who prounced epistaxis without the "s" - epeetaxis. I won't even tell you what she did with some drug names. The really fun one was when she stumbled three times over cerumen, never did pronounce it correctly and then spelled it for me.
Osmosis. Sleep with 'em under my head...
and absorb the knowledge. :)
Besides, this is way too fun.
Did you get the download? Now press "play".
They're great - give 'em a try!
Nicest company I've worked for in years - respectful, patient, plenty of work and they appreciate their employees. They're a breath of fresh air.
Newbies, you gotta love 'em
That bubble will soon burst! I don't make 16 cents per line, and I have 10 years of experience in all specialties, acute care, ER, clinic...Ah, to remember the newbie days...I had that "go get'em" attitude. I miss those carefree days.
Been doing 'em for months now in the NYPost. Cool! nm
