their heads are swollen. True GOOD QA people don't automatically make the assumption that just because they could hear the blank (or multiple blanks as may be the case) that the MT just rushed through it without even trying. It's not about ego; it's about putting out a quality document, and in the case of TRUE QA people of quality, letting some of the benefit of their higher level of experience dribble down and influence any future work the MT might put out.
