I am so glad you posted that about men, I am 30 and
I am having the same problem.  That is probably why I work so much.  Our situation is terrible, but at least we now know that we aren't alone out there by our 30ish year old selves going through some sort of pre-midlife crisis.  I thought it was just me.
So glad you posted this - thanks
nm
Thank you! I'm so glad you posted

this message because yesterday and all through the early hours this morning the noise was unbearable, and now I have to work an 8-10 hour shift on almost no sleep.  You are right about the people moving and new ones coming in; we never had this problem out of the 9 years I have owned my house up until early Spring this year when someone new moved in down the street.  I'm sure people know exactly who is causing the noise and other problems, but maybe they are afraid to say anything.  I have found from personal experience and from others that once you try to ask somebody nicely to keep it down, one of two things happens; they either say they are sorry and keep it down, or they turn it up louder, then if you call the police they know it was you.  I have just resorted to calling the police anonymously, although I know they can find out who I am, but the neighbor doesn't have to know it was me.

I have made up fliers and am going out this afternoon to pass them out, and at least in the meantime ask them to please call the police whenever they hear that music.  It HAS to be bothering more than just me if I can FEEL it and my dog hides behind a chair.  Thanks so much for the tips.

I remember this....I'm so glad you posted. SM

I have two major problems that I have been struggling to turn over to the Lord that I am having problems letting go of.  Just seeing this post this morning has done me more good than you know.

And I'm glad you have the jacket back because it means so much to you.  He really does work good for those who love Him, doesn't He?

Thank you again for posting.

I'm so glad you posted. I thought it was me! sm
I can remember from years ago, but have so much difficulty remember things short-term. If I don't write it, I can't remember. Scary! At least I know I'm not alone! Thanks everyone!
well i am glad that they treat you that posted better
Odd it must have just been me cause I was with them two different times two years apart and both times the same crap! I am glad to see that they are treating some people nicer than myself! I really don't know what the deal is there, but I know I didn't get much positive feedback or help when I asked for help! Yes, the pay was not so hot either I agree with the other poster on that part. I have two years of transcription experience, but this gal did expect perfection from me on day one I can see maybe day 3 but not day one. As I said I am just speaking my experience and if anyone else has had similar to myself please don't hesitate to speak up! Thanks! Have a great weekend all!
Hey Jodi!! Glad you posted! I am praying
for you and proud of you. You are right on track about not moving to be closer to him. And if he tries to argue, always remember to use the reasoning that its the KIDS who are first - its not you versus him. So, the kids should not move closer to him, but rather the other way around!! He has to be sure everything he does is for THEM not him. Though he'll argue that they need to see their daddy - thus why they should move - its psycho warfare, and HE needs to accommodate them. Period! Someday you will look back on this period of your life and hopefully laugh, or at least smile and see what a great decision it was and how worth it for the kids AND you!
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!! Keep us posted! :-) nm

This link still seems good from when I posted this before...

Good for you! May I ask what kind of expander you went with?

Glad you had a good time
Glad you thought the suggestions were helpful. :) I know some people probably think we are crazy but unless you are an avid camper you might not realize how much time can be spent just getting ready! Every little time saver you can find makes the trip all the more pleasurable when you don't end up exhausted just getting ready to go. :D
Posted another quick and good one on recipe board for you.

Good reply - LOL. This is just the kind of post
she would understand; it's on her level, which sounds about like my niece in 1st grade. You should've added "na na na boo boo"
You're so kind, thank you for the good thoughts! sm
She does have to be on a high-fiber diet. They think this might be related to H-pylori, even though she tested negative for it. I told her lets not worry until we have to, easier said than done, but she is a worrier, and yes, I have inherited that from her as well:) I was reading up on this MALT lymphoma and if that's what she has, it looks like it is pretty treatable if caught in the early stages, so we will pray. Thanks again. I will update when I know more. Thanks for posting - means a lot:)

Good for you! Glad you said your husband! That was really nice!

Glad to hear you all had a good time. :)

Do an archive search - good info posted a few weeks ago.

It's good for testing. Kind of clunky for working

Glad you had a good time. We just hung around the house.

I am so glad to hear you talk about VR in a good light
I have a jewel of a platform and you can make a decent salary. It is not garbage and like you said, the people here complaining are ones who do not have a good system. You have to be fast in scanning and hearing. If you are a slow typist to begin with, I have no idea how this would play into a person who does really good with VR. I do not fit that category and the people I have know that did VR did not either.
Right away it looked to me like the kind of junk that spreads in email. Good eye. nm

Glad I was able to help....I just keep thinking about my inspiration (friend from gym). Good luck!!

So glad to hear your good news!!!! Eat a candy bar anyway :-) no message

EKG uses 12 leads I through XII
:
He often leads parades in Hawaii...
where he chants "No ice in paradise!" - referring to crystal meth - big problem there.
I'd love to give you some leads (sm)
since I was recently applying to find a second source of work.  Send me an email, Jackie, and tell me what you're looking for in a service.
The link leads to PDF download.(sm)
You can then look the form over and see how much applies to your situation. You are the one to choose whether or not to ask the IRS to make a determination of your employment status. The service will know once you have filed the form since the IRS will send them one to fill out and will tell them who asked for the determination.
I don't know why the anonymity of a board leads to....sm
folks taking things wrong, as in above post. I was NOT inferring, in any way, shape, or form, that NORTHERN MTs/people/whatever are smarter, better educated, or MORE WELL-ROUNDED; rather, I was one of the first to respond to this posting, and was just trying to explain that even with hospitals, there is a ladder system, the longer you have been doing MT, the courses/schools, the previous jobs, and most importantly, how many specialities/worktypes you are able to do well, THOSE are the things an employer generally looks at when deciding pay offers. I have lived in the South, and also in the West.....no sarcasm was needed, only assistance was intended. Geesh, getting back to work is refreshing.
Leads to same template I mentioned above
There is still no link to a medical staff listing.
Why do they call them team leads?
When they really do not seem interested in "leading" anything or anyone? Yes, I am a tad bit frustrated today!

Don't send me an email to which I answer your question right away, then wait an hour and a half to answer back, if you answer at all. And please, READ the email I have taken the time to send, trust me on this one, its obvious when you don't.*sigh*

I take great pride in my work. No matter whether I feel I am getting paid enough, or treated well enough, I still feel it is my responsibility to produce the best possible results in my position. It is my reputation I am protecting, not theirs.

Is this a lost art? Why do other act like since they work from home they don't have to take it seriously? If you have been put in the position of leading people, guiding them, training them to do the position they were hired to do. THEN DO IT! Don't leave me with more questions than answers! If you agree to take the position of "leader" then don't make me feel is if I am an inconvenience.

No, I will not name the company. I believe this is a good company so I am not trying to bash them. In the last few years I have worked for 3 nationals. Only one had leadership that actually knew what they were training you on and acted like they cared. Unfortunately, their IT department couldn't speak English and I found out they were outsourcing to India, had to leave.

Just my vent for the day!

what leads your believe coding will be electronically?
just curious.
Is QA supervisory? What were your qualifications to get into QA that leads to supervision?
Where do you plan to go from QA?
The 12-lead system comprises six limb (I, II, III, aVR, aVL, and aVF) and six chest leads (V1 to V6)

Glad I could help and glad you got your setup going. nm

It would help--an you may get more responses--sm
if you indicate what the med is used for. check out this site--

also a Google search could lead you in the right direction, rather than sit and wait for a response here.
Thanks for your responses (sm)
I will probably go ahead and get Shorthand.  I know DQS has a built in Expander but it's empty when you first start and that cuts into production time.  Today is the first day I'm doing live work (3 jobs only thank goodness) just to keep up on what we were taught in training until the hospitals I do are switched.  Wish me luck.  I think DQS will be better in the long run as it has some really nice features, it's just I've become spoiled with using the same system for years and years.  Change can be very scarry, but if it stimulates my brain and keeps me from getting Alzheimers sooner, hey, I'm all for it.  Thanks again.
Thanks so much for your responses
This has really helped me make my decision. I guess I just needed a little shove.
Thanks to all for your responses! nm

I would like to see more responses (SM)
I would like to see more responses and more specifics to this excellent poll. This is a very good idea. I have always wanted to know this information. There are only a few responses here. I see no reason why the responders cannot be more specific about the MTSO company through which they contract. Please let us continue this thread for awhile longer.
Thank you all very much for your responses. sm

And thank you for your condolences as well.  She, at this point, has decided not to attend the church ceremony but feels she can deal with a period of time at the visiting hours.  This is agreeable to everyone.

Thank you all again.

No, nothing else. I think the responses have said it all.

RE QA responses
If that's the tone they use when they give you feedback, IMHO, that's VERY unprofessional. I'd certainly go to whoever heads up the QA department to get answers, and also perhaps to resolve the way you're being communicated with.
thanks for the responses
My contract has agreed upon hours not lines per se. I agreed to work a split schedule between mornings and afternoons in my time zone, no weekends. I have no minimum production or maximum production. I just wanted to be sure that I could say "No" once in awhile without being terminated on the spot. I have years of in hospital experience and also over 6 at home as an employee so I am definitely an asset I don't think they would let go lightly. Its not the owners sending out messages to work the weekends but the girl in charge of managing the daily workload who is sending mass emails to all the MTs asking for more help. I think I'll just start ignoring these when I want to and volunteer when I need the extra cash!
Thanks for all the responses...

Thank you for responding. It is nice to get feedback from other's point of view.

I agree with the poster that said that some large families have entitlement issues, and I think this is what is going on with this mom.  My kids don't usually have a problem sharing, but the amount of requests coming from this family is completely out of control.

Just as an update on this, I decided not to talk to this mom about it.  I discovered a few very alarming things this weekend, and I may need to contact Child Protective Services.  For example, on Sunday she locked the kids outside in the late evening while she went grocery shopping because she didn't want the kids to mess up her house.  (Their ages are 12, 10, 8, 7, and 5).  The oldest was spending the night at a friends, and the youngest 4 were locked outside.  She left at 8:30 pm and didn't get back for over an hour.

The 5-year-old is also running the neighborhood by himself a great deal.  Last night, I found him outside after midnight and had to walk him home.

I am also discovering that, although she has food in the house, she is not always feeding the kids.  For now, I have decided to keep a journal of what is going on for about a month and decide then if I need to report this.

thank you for all the responses...sm
My hubbie has been through the psychology testing, etc. so that insurance would pay for the operation, plus we did the sit down with the dietician, who showed us exactly what was going on. The program also has monthly support meetings and the doctor has extensive experience in this type of surgery, so we feel very confident in his abilities. It is just a big step and we are just trying to make sure we have checked into everything before we proceed. Thank you again everyone.
Thanks for the responses.
I'm very interested to hear anyone's story. Reply by email if you feel it's too personal a subject for the forum. I am interested in hearing the good, the bad, and the ugly of both the foster system and the private agencies.

I've been reading the adoption websites for tips and such, but I feel like people mostly give the sugar-coated versions once the adoption is done, especially if they're endorsing a particular agency.

I do appreciate the comment about being told you're better off going out of the country. I'm sorry that happened to you, and I've heard that story more than once. It's a shame.
Thanks for the responses...
I really appreciate it--it is a "scary" thing to think about changing platforms!
Thank you for the responses. :O) NM

Thanks for all your responses. sm

It's just that commas, hyphens, paragraphs, etc., are not a matter of choice.  There is a right way and a wrong way.  I agree with the comment that the doctors don't care.  I know that's true or it wouldn't happen so much.  I'm certainly no expert, but some of the stuff I proof is just ridiculous.  Thanks again for your comments.

Thanks for the responses. sm
Thanks for the responses, and thanks for not flaming me. It's a quandary, isn't it? Sadly, I know it is true that for every MT who has had enough and says, "I'm not working for this rate anymore," there's another MT to take her place--and at a cheap rate. I do want to say though that I am a firm believer in the saying, "You get what you pay for." The nationals might be saving money upfront by hiring "cheap" MTs, but in the end they might not be saving as much as they think. An MT with 15 or 20 years (or more!) of experience is worth her weight in gold.

Something tells me that even though the situation may be grim at times in the MT world, it is not as grim as it appears. I think it behooves the large nationals for MTs to always believe that "the end is near." People in situations that appear desperate will do desperate things.

Stick to your guns and keep trying, and I will do the same. You are all worth your weight in gold, and if you keep going for it, you'll get it! You're a great bunch of people!
