Thanks everyone! Good thing I asked, as I was thinking of 2-3 weeks! Yikes.

Thanks again.  I think I will give them one month and hopefully if they find someone sooner they will let me go on my way. (what a relief that will be too!)  Thanks!

I asked this question a couple of weeks ago.
Left click on the toolbar and don't let go.  Drag the toolbar back down to the bottom and then let go.   I just did it to be sure I was telling you right and it worked.  I lock my toolbar but it doesn't seem to lock as I can move it by accident.
I went through the same thing about 6 weeks or so ago
The new "great" job made me realize how much I did not want to leave my original job. I was in exactly the same position as you. I cannot say what is best for you. But for me, I wrote down pros and cons on paper, and I also went with my gut feeling, the fact that I indeed loved my original job and did not want to leave after all. I quit the new job, and have never looked back. It is so stressful to train on a new job, I am doing the best I can to stay put and count my job blessings every day. Good luck to you.
You know what? My sisters asked me the same thing. sm

I do have a beauty school right in my town. I never even thought about it because I thought I'd be shaved bald or something or have a student saying "Ooops" every few seconds.

My sisters urged me to give the place a try. Thanks to reading your message about the supervision, I might just rid myself of my "senior citizen" hairdo before I hit 45.

I asked him the same thing yesterday.
He didn't answer. Maybe he's an ESL doc trying to learn the language, LOL.
I was thinking the same thing....

Too much information, thanks.

Thinking the same thing.

I could have written your post except that I have not applied yet to the accel BSN program and don't want to do perioperative nursing (I'm more in line with the poster down below who wants to work in an outpatient setting).

Good luck to you.  I thought I would like working alone at home, but I miss being around people.

I have been thinking the same thing...
I was going to post one, but have hesitated. Then I was on another MT board the other night, lurking, and read that this board actually edits not only posts, but who gets to pay and browse their resumes. So, the discussion was that anyone posting their resume here should be aware that their choices are being limited as many companies are denied access for personal reasons with the board owner. So....that made me nervous and have not posted to date.
I was thinking the same thing myself, well said. NM

Yes - I was thinking the same thing (sm)
When my little brother called this afternoon, I told him that I thought it was a little strange that she sent them to a hospital without calling them first, especially in an emergency situation. I also told him that I thought the midwife should be with them unless, of course, she has another patient in labor. I probably shouldn't have said anything to him right now about it. I guess I was just a little stunned. I told him though that it sounded like they were in very good hands now and I was very relieved the baby and sis in law are being monitored now. I will update when I hear more news. I wonder how I can find out or get any information on this woman's credentials?
Sorry, but the last thing I'd be thinking about if

calling a friend/relative at whatever time of day/night saying "Hey, I am rushing my child to the emergency room - I don't have time to explain but how about you call my job".

First and foremost, my child would be the only thing of concern to my family/friends.  Even getting them to call MY job in a situation like that wouldn't happen.

People need more compassion.  Luckily the person I work for is very compassionate and would probably smack me up along side the head for putting work before a baby in distress.

I was thinking the same thing. I am 43 and
considering going to back to school. I want to be an OR nurse or anesthetist.
That's why I asked if it was a one-time thing or a pattern
A one-time slip-up is bad enough, but some people have a "serial cheating" personality that is unacceptable and definitely a deal-breaker.
I was thinking the same thing yesterday...
Christmas money spent already, next big money tax return....should go to bills. Well, maybe some will, but....there's always some pocket money to be put away for a rainy day, he he...
I was thinking the same thing as AgingMT
I noticed the topic has been closed out but just keep us updated as to how you are doing. You said some pretty scary stuff like not wanting to be here and things like that. I also think you should seek out someone to talk to other than us because we are not able to talk to you freely and we are not qualified and might say the wrong thing. Yet we care and want to know you are okay. A lot of us are closet counselors and want the best for you. It could be that we are older or it could be we have been there before. I am 44 so you could almost be my child.

You can be picky about who you choose to counsel you, maybe an older woman would feel more comfortable.

Definitely agree with Jan and some of the other posters. You obviously have the brains to succeed but it takes a healthy mind as well. Depression can hinder anyone's success regardless of having the know how or brains to succeed. So the focus should definitely be managing the depression first. Drinking would get in the way of this even as recreational I would steer clear for now. Post on mental health or christian so maybe your post won't be deleted or replies blocked.

I'm Christian so my prayers go out to you but totally respect other faiths and belief systems.

I dont want this whole link deleted so they are saying exactly the same thing about being asked to

Good thinking!
Intelligent way to handle it.
Agree! I hate Daylight Savings Time. It takes me a good two weeks
to get myself and everybody in the household adjusted to the time change every six months. If the farmers need to get up earlier, let 'em! That doesn't mean I should have to, also! DST has definitely outlived its usefulness. I stay up later and get up earlier in the summer, but go to bed earlier and sleep later in the winter. It's like my mind and body are tied to the sun, not the clock. I never got an extra hour of sleep last night anyways because the neighbor's stupid dog barked from 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.
It was so good. I was thinking they were going to continue it
again.  I just love George, Patrick Dempsey ain't bad to look at either.  What did Izzy used to be in?.  She looks so familiar but I don't recognize her name.
good thinking!!! SM inside :)

Good post - good thinking but really, as MTs, we already know we cannot *assume* anything - even on a bulletin board.  There are posters who annoy me too and those posters drive away the informative posters which is terribly unfortunate because many of them (the informative posters) are full of GREAT information that they are willing to share.  I hate them being driven away by a couple of handfuls of perpetrators.

You cannot assume everyone is that poster - you can think it's them but there's no proof, really, when you think about it.  Only the moderators/administrator know who is who on the boards.  If things get nasty, they remove all the nasty threads.

GMTA - remember this - great minds think alike - we don't need to lower ourselves to the perps (lack of) standards.

I'm thinking somewhat differently. But good for you for SM
taking action. Since I don't believe fighting the Information Age is a good strategy (sort of like hunters-and-gatherers laughing at people sticking roots in the ground, to my mind) I'm signing up for classes to broaden my skills. I'm also looking into reactiving my appraiser's license (in case of future need. I appraised lots of foreclosures in the Reagan era and would definitely prefer to pass now).

Back to the healthcare industry, I would ask you, how does having IT performed on this continent fit into improving the delivery of good affordable healthcare to all of us? What has to be done so that this does serve that purpose? How do we fit into it? Best wishes for sure.
LOL! Well, good! I've done ONE good thing today, then. NM

Good thinking Wise MT about the blanket. I use fingerless gloves for the hands. NM. Thank you for

Thank you too! A good laugh is a good thing.

It's a good thing

Finally, the animals win one.  Every time some "little darling" mangles a dog or a cat and they get bitten, scratched, it is always the "mean dog's fault".  I'm glad you had your camera on for proof.  I had two collies that were behind TWO locked fences and one of my neighbors called me up, screaming that my female had bitten her 2 yo toddler.  I asked what her 2 yo toddler was doing running around loose outside without supervision and what he was doing on my property in the first place.  I told her about the two locked gates and chain link fences, and she said he managed to stick his hand between the posts and the gates and was bitten.  She thought I was going to "come apart", but instead I went on the attack.  I told her she needed to watch her kids and keep them out of my property and she wouldn't have a problem.  Her 2 yo was trespassing on my property and I wanted him kept off of it from now on!  She backed down in a big hurry.  People make me crazy!

Good thing this is my day off
I meant "way less errors," not "way more errors."  LOL
no, would not be a good thing....sm

would end up making you look bad......

move forward - for every door that shuts, another one opens, I promise....*S*

Yes, it is a good thing.
My parent's church helps with it and my parents and other people in the church have brought from them. It is not a scam. It just helps with fod. There is no way you can buy that much food at the store for what Angel Food gives you for $25.00. Are you thinking of signing up?
Good for you! I think this is the right thing to do.
You've got to take care of yourself to keep making your money. If he has a problem with that, he'd be in for a rude awakening if you woke up and decided my hand hurts and I CAN'T work. I'm glad you're doing what you need to for your own pain's sake. My best to you!
Is this a good thing?
QA that is 'easy on you'?
It can be a good thing if.....

you treat it like a business - learn the law, get everything in writing, charge enough rent to cover the hidden costs.  I've been landlording for several years now and I highly recommend nolo.com a site with good legal information for non-lawyers, especially a book that outlines the landlord-tenant laws in each state in layperson language - It's been very useful to me, kept me out of trouble at least once.

Or just call a realtor and let them handle it and add their fee to the rental as mentioned above.

Which is why MT can be a good thing for ADD sm
Days when it is hard to focus will take longer to reach quota. Personally, hormonal fluctuations tend to drag me down and make my day go on forever. Being able to stretch my day out longer as long as I get the work done has probably saved me from losing my job at times. Working all day long is not the ideal, but the perseverance is there to get it done anyway and keep my job. When I worked in-house, I was constantly late and had so many warnings because it was hard to stay on task, couldn't work extra hours, etc. So for me, working MT at home, while not a breeze, is the best fit for me and probably many other MTs with ADD.
Speaking of Kenny Chesney, is anyone thinking what I am thinking? see message
When I hear the words, "annulment" and "fraud" in the same sentence, I can only think of one thing.  Anybody else thinking the same thing?

I can't believe you thing those are good reasons.
I cannot believe you think these are valid reasons to do your dog a dis-service like that.  Yes, it is your laziness that doesn't want to go have to get up and let him outside.  As far as fleas, if you cannot afford to care for a dog properly, you shouldn't have one.  The cheapest part about owning a pet, is the initial cost. Your expensive flea med excuse is like saying, "Gee, I am short on cash. Get the dog doesn't get to eat this week."  There are expenses that go with owning a pet and that should be considered before you bring one into your home.  And the digging,,, just don't leave him out for hours at a time and the digging won't be an issue.  THis poor dog.  I unfortuneatly can see this dog's future.  Either he will end up put down like the other poster's dog or he will be placed with strangers.  If he is lucky, it will be with a responsible dog ower.  If he is unlucky, it will be with some one who won't take the time and he will either end up outside all the time or be passed to yet another stranger.  Poor pooch.
Good post but one thing.....sm

you said you'd wait until you become financially secure before getting married so you could then could leave him and be okay $$-wise.

I left after 13 years of marriage and we pretty much had nothing....my sanity being numero uno.  The stats are this....that after 5 years of divorce, women are in better shape than men financially and emotionally.  That's what I've read and that's how it also happened for me.  I was in better shape than him 5 years later.  So, don't undercut yourself.  We can make it on our own whether we have a man in our life or not!!!!  It's an old wives tale from post WWII I do believe that women are not *complete* without a man and that is a total crock of s**t.....in my mind/heart/soul.

Good thing we all get to have an opinion!

I guess if there's one good thing...

the police got to the school so quickly that he was unable to carry out the *rest of his plan* thank God...those poor children suffered enough, thankfully he didn't have the chance to inflict any more harm on them...if you know what I'm talking about...I can't write it...it makes me sick to my stomach!

What is this world coming to when parents feel afraid to send their children to SCHOOL? We don't even let our 7 YO son play outside for 1 second alone, and we live in a quiet subdivision, and know all our neighbors...guess that's just it though, we THINK we KNOW them...anyway, it just breaks my heart and scares me to death...WE NEED TO BRING GOD BACK INTO THE SCHOOLS...we've *kicked* Him out...time to bring Him back...

Change is a good thing.
You’re signature gives you away—typingfool.

Some people need change. Change is good. It’s good for the soul, good for the spirit, and not to mention one’s well being. Some people need to grow and if boredom persists, this is a sign that it’s time to pursue new fields. If everyone held your poor outlook on life, there would be no dreams met, no business owners, no success stories, no hope and furthermore, very unfulfilled listless lives.

We can all compare ourselves to those who are in war, struggling in life, in humdrum jobs but this is no reason to not attempt to fulfill one’s own potential, no matter what that may be. It’s just a matter of decision, as scary as it may be, to try something different. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

I am so thankful that I was not born to you, with your attitude—so stifling!

It is a very good thing for lots of the MTS
to not have lived, say in the 50s on through the early 90s because they would have been out of luck with jobs and the ability to stay home. Those 2 just did not go together. I remember the last job where I worked in house fulltime (92) they told you not to have family/friends on the hospital property to visit- not allowed on the work place at all. I love working from home but I think the choice of this job should not be #1 you want to stay at home because then like I have said before the profession comes off as nonprofessional. I do not care how MTs look but others apparently do as they post these concerns all the time- iether neighbors and/or family thinking they do not really have a job, even a post on a board stating her husband telling her all she did was sit on her a___ all day long, not being taken seriously. I think a lot of MTers hurt their own self when they post their reason for doing this was just to work from home. Just what I read on these boards.
