Thank you for sharing. Yes, I had the classic symptoms w/testing. I yelped, too! One thing I found on the Internet is that certain hand positions and unusual activities can bring it on; can be exacerbated by arthritis. I'll try to find some specific exercises or check with a physical therapist I once worked for.
