This is just what I wanted to know. I guess I will keep things like they are for the time being, and keep checking on DSL. I can download my files in a pinch with dial-up. The only thing is that I have to have a fax machine, and dial-up ties up the phone line. I am already paying for 2 lines at home(1 for my daughter), as well as the fax line and DSL at my Mom's house 10 miles from here. The line there and DSL together are about what I would pay a month for HughesNet. The only difference would be the drive there, and I have to check on my mom frequently and check my P.O. Box there anyway.
