Nice to have an honest opinion. I liked the way you stated that I probably won't find a job that fits all that I want, but to go for 1 that fits most of what I like. I have found something with decent benefits, okay to low pay, but no paid holidays :( I have a 7-month-old son and would really like to find a job that gives me the ability to provide for my family and watch him grow up (i.e. be able to spend holidays with him).
In regards to years, unfortunately, when you take the on-line tests they ask how many years experience you have and if you don't qualify, they don't let you continue. I don't want to lie because that is not a good way to start an employer/employee relationship, kwim? So needless to say, it seems like years of experience do matter whether you are good or not.
