I guess we can all aspire to be "Professional" or More "Professional"....Unfortunately, even advanced MT's are not adequately compensated for the great job many of them do. We actually found "greener" pastures in an unrelated, but Still People-oriented field.... And a note to the aspiring newbies...many times one of the perks is...Discounted/Free Medical care (along with a better "insiders knowledge of the medical field"....many doctors realize the value of this essential service....Perhaps one day MT's will be generously compensated.

If they are commenting on things that
are specific to the account that you are not following, then you have to conform to their way. If there are inconsistencies between what they tell you from report to report, then refer the emails with an explanation to your supervisor for clarification as you are being told multiple ways to do the same thing.
If they are telling you something that you just don't understand, then let them know that you can't change templates, what are they talkign about?, do you do you not correct dictators' grammar, etc. If you are on multiple accounts, then each account could be different as to being verbatim/not verbatim etc. There are a lot of things that could be going on that you, being new to the account, are not aware of as of yet.
If you don't like the show, you could have skipped commenting.

I'd say you need a grip. This is exactly why fewer MTs are commenting on here
They get blasted and basically reprimanded for giving an opinion. How about some common courtesy.
She was just wryly commenting on the MT environment...sm
I'm sure she didn't mean to be unhelpful (nor did I in my post above). It's not really funny that we find ourselves competing with foreigners, and of course the economic situation probably isn't helping either since people who lose their jobs lose their health insurance too.
We can't really offer much in the way of special advice except to encourage you to keep applying and knocking on doors until one opens. There are still some companies that don't outsource, and some clients that will not work with those that do, so don't give up.
