I would ask your dentist who he would recommend.He might send you to an Orthodontist first to see if braces would help, or some type of splint.    I had jaw surgery for TMJ.   I went from seeing a ENT doctor for severe migranes, who suggested a visit to the orthodontist who put braces on my teeth and then jaw sugery by an oral surgeon.  I was 30 years old.
