TAT

In Reply to: What is your average TAT for being an IC. Is this normal.... - me

My TAT is usually 24 hours or the next day but I delver back and it can be anywhere from 9 to noon.   But I did do a temporary IC account to help out and that had to be back at 8:30 a.m. exact and if not, you were docked.  But that was still 24 hours as you did pick up at the same time.  To me, and I have been an I/C -MTSO for close to 20 years, you need to renegotiate with your account, your rate is very low, and does not account for the short TAT.  You have to have confidence in you and your work and if you don't neither will they.   Tell them that they are getting the services of an account that would pay 12 to 15 cpl and you are only charging them -- did you say 6.5 cpl??? that is way low.  So either raise your rates as an I/C you name the rate.  But you have to decide what you will lose if they walk.  If it is becoming a hassle, it isn't worth it.  But have them call around, there is no way that they would find this kind of TAT at that price anywhere.  Good luck, and believe in yourself.
