My father's job was transferred from the Midwest to the SE just in time for my senior year of HS. It was quite traumatic. I went from a bigger metro area to a smaller town, though. But I'm still here. Thankfully it's grown. Hopefully you will be able to live outside a big city so it will feel more like home to you. You just never know what life holds for you.
